Unfortunately not everyone thinks that way. They're still real upset about LeBron going to Miami, having the confidence in winning and being the Best Player IMO in the NBA. But of course, if these people that "hate" him so much had him on their team, the conversation would be totally different.

Enough about him, and now onto the Finals. I'm glad we're back. 2 years in a row. We're making it now it's time to produce. I can't wait. Yes the West is pretty strong this year but I think we have a shot. For some reason I believe we'll do good with OKC. I'm sure I'll be wrong to some of you, but I'm thinking 6 Miami.

It doesn't matter to me. I like Durant and Lebron, but each team has players I can't stand. OKC's probably going to win though.

Man, you guys are still getting bewildered at this shit? You think the Lakers in the 2000s were greeted with hugs and kisses? Shaq was criticized for being a ballhog and Kobe.. well Kobe too for a while, plus a bunch of petty shit so that people could feel comfortable saying Jordan was better. The 2002 incident with the referees... you think the Lakers' popularity got off with that scot free? You think people let that shit go easily? Every big team had their own baggage. People are all like "WHY U NO LIKE HEAT" when they can't see it's simply how the game is.

There's plenty of petty reasons to dislike the Heat, if I named them all to you right now you'd pass them off as stupid when the reality is not that many power teams have been treated differently. The only thing is the Heat didn't help themselves when LeBron/Wade taunted their opposition in the finals and other small shit, you can say that's small shit, but a lot of small shit can get looked under with a microscope. Some people still won't let the big free agency coup go, and I don't know why you'd expect otherwise.

Hell on a side note, people love these teams with superb chemistry, where everyone not just the star player(s) chips in consistently. People jumped on the Mavs' dicks last year before the playoffs even started. Then Dirk started dropping 40s and it was all over from there.

And I'm not trying to be mean or anything because I myself hate powerhouses in any sports because they have the money to get Big Name players, but I don't go crying about it on every conversation.

It's business and us here in Miami are lucky to have LeBron. Sorry for you and your team if he didn't go over or even think about going over. But it's business and I'm sure players like LeBron want to be on a winning team. And if it means getting players through free agency to build a team then be it. But I'm not going to sit here and complain about teams picking up free agents to make a championship roster. That's part of the game and business.

Like I said, it's a personal preference. If you're a big time, top 5 player that's responsible for helping your draft team make it to consecutive conference finals and even finals appearances and you let millions of fans down so quickly because you want to be with another superstar teammate to have even better chances, you're not one that I'm going to prefer to other players that are more loyal to their franchises and work up to be contenders the hard way.

LeBrons getting better with his attitude, and is becoming a little more humble and down to earth, but I will always prefer loyal franchise players over ones that are always on the move.

^The Kobe example can't really work when we're talking about a prospect rookie making moves for his potential career. How many games did he play with the Hornets?

But indeed, I don't blame LeBron for leaving when it didn't look they were gonna bring anything to the table with the Cavs. LeBron basically embodied that city's economy for a while, and all they could hand him were scraps. It's a lesson for most to take care of your superstar players.

It's the way it all happened afterwards. And granted, most of it isn't LeBron's fault. But it just looked bad on paper(and on TV, literally/figuratively).

Oh, and this... I don't know if revisionist history is in order here, but Kobe got plenty of heat for that shit. Right up until his 4th ring where people started laying off that. And nobody cares about some gambling story considering that's probably peanuts in MJ's budget. You'd have more of a case with him getting in an ugly situation with his wife but even there...


I'll just say this, it doesn't matter if LeBron is scoring 30+ a game, it doesn't matter if they made back-to-back finals, doesn't matter if it's LeBron's third MVP... if people wanna hate the Heat, let 'em hate. You don't hate teams because they suck, you hate them because they rubbed you off in random incommensurable ways. Lots of people - hell I'm sure some people here - even hate an entire team because of one player. I've never liked the Spurs but I respected them for their 20 win streak, but I'm not gonna start sucking their dick. Once the postseason's over, my stance will be right where it was at the beginning of the season, with probably a slight more of appreciation. Same deal for Heat haters. Haters talk, but deep down inside 90% of them respect LeBron errrday.

Probably because of the fact that he didn't announce in on national television and hasn't done nearly as many immature things as LeBron has done throughout his career. Feel bad for CP3 though, still doesn't have enough help around him.
