I really hope Washington makes it to the conference finals but I just don't see it happening.
My prediction is new jersey vs Phoenix in the cup finals.

LA vs Philadelphia would provide the best series IMO. Richards and Carter vs the current Flyers, that would be really fun to see.

The Capitals tied their series against the Rangers with a 3-2 win. The Rangers tied the game twice before Mike Green scored the game-winner on the Power Play in the final period.

Something tells me this series could go the full seven games.

It's unprecedented--this is the first time that an 8th Seed has knocked off the top two seeds of their conference in the same postseason. And to further the precedence, if Phoenix wins their series, then we'll have an 8-3 matchup in the Western Conference Finals, another first for the Conference Finals.

The New York Rangers forced OT by scoring a game-tying Power Play goal with only 7 seconds left in regulation.

But the penalty time wasn't over because the High Sticking penalty to Joel Ward was a Double Minor. And the Rangers capitalized on the remaining penalty time, with Marc Staal scoring the Game-Winning Power Play Goal only 95 seconds into Overtime.

Not a good time for the Capitals to trip up on their Penalty Kill, as their inability to kill the Double Minor has them on the brink of elimination. But something tells me this series isn't over yet.
