Yeah their pitching isn't even bad with CJ Wilson walking... Yu Darvish is doing fine. The only thing I would worry about is Darvish's arm holding up through the whole season and playoffs - Japanese pitchers usually don't stay healthy in the MLB.


And of course the Red Sox shit all over the Twins. It's only natural that we lose to a team that is struggling. Our pitching is non-existant at this point.

Phillies Cubs game is at the top of the fourth right now. Cubs just got their first hit of the game. Watching them play is just funny sometimes. DeJesus just got struck out and gave the ump the dirtest look after he just watched a strike fly right past him without swinging.

Anyone catch Bryce Harper's MLB Debut? He ripped a line-drive double in his third at bat, and had a throw from LF that was right on the plate but Wilson Ramos couldn't handle it.

He still seems incredibly douchey (maybe it's just because I'm a Phillies fan), but his ripping off his helmet with his first MLB hit just ticked me off the wrong way.

Either way, I'm glad Matt Kemp won the game for the Dodgers in extras. I'm beginning to really loathe the Nationals.

Might I recommend watching Rick Ankiels throw from CF as a National vs. The Astros then I'd post it but I'm onmy phone.

At the end of April, if someone said to me that the Red Sox would be at .500 (11-11), but in last place in the American League East I might have looked at that person like they were crazy. But that's exactly what has happened: all five teams in the AL East have a record of .500 or better.

On the flip-side of that, the AL West has only one team above .500: the division-leading Texas Rangers, who have the best run differential at this point in the season at +56. No other team in the American League has a run differential better than +18 (New York Yankees). The next-closest run differential to the Rangers across the Majors is the +53 that the St. Louis Cardinals are touting.

Speaking of the National League, the Washington Nationals are leading the NL East by a half-game over the Braves despite losing four in a row. The Nationals have allowed only 59 runs as of post time, the fewest in the Majors.

Still have five months to go in the season--there's a long way to go yet!

The game I went to this evening could have gone better. I could've sworn that the fly ball that Cody Ross misplayed was going to be ruled an error, but I was wrong.

Daniel Bard couldn't do much after the fifth inning; some fans started leaving after the top of the sixth. But I stayed until the end. Will Middlebrooks had a nice Major League Debut, going 2-for-3 with a walk, stolen base, single and double.

Sox lost that one 4-2. Bard should be in the bullpen, not as a starter. Hopefully the call-up of Aaron Cook will allow Bard to get bumped back to the bullpen if he does well enough. He'll start Saturday as Beckett will miss a start due to a stiff right lat muscle.

Also Kevin Youkilis has been placed on the DL (back).

EDIT: Jered Weaver of the LA Angels just polished off a no-hitter. Big ups!

So rumor has it that Rivera blew out his knee. That sucks. I don't think I have more respect for any other Yankee in history. You never want to see a guy like that go out like that.
