Regarding Guillen, I don't really care about the comment, but saying it in Miami is so damn stupid to say it in when he's the new manager of Miami. Apparently the team is getting pressured by local Cuban business owners to fire him. It was a retarded thing to say in a place with such a large Cuban community. It'll be hard for him to get anywhere with the fans there now.

Seeing the Phillies fail to capitalize with Runners in Scoring Position is going to be the death of me, prematurely .

Looks like the White Sox took care of the Tigers again today, something I thought I wouldn't see this season.

Alright so as a Rangers fan I heard a lot of hype for Yu Darvish, but I am really mixed on my thoughts of him. I cut him a lot of slack though as this is only his second start for the Rangers (or in America in general), but once again our bats had to back him out of a potential bigger hole again. Our batters, by the way, doing a damn good job thus far this season. Darvish did do better today, though, and I'm sure he will get even better.


Regarding the Dodgers talk above: I am very impressed with their performance so far this season.. am curious to see if they continue that success. I don't keep up with much spring training or pre-season talk besides the Rangers, so I did had no idea what to expect from the Dodgers, but I was pleasantly surprised.

Sox lost again today. Really hope they turn this around as the season goes on.

The Dodgers are off to a white hot start though. Doubt it has much to do with the new ownership, but I can see many people accrediting their success to it. Nice to seem them not suck, and would like for it to continue.

While they took three out of four, the problem I had with the loss is the strike zone in the 9th Inning, particularly Cody Ross's at-bat in that inning. While that was the final out, all five of those pitches were outside the strike zone.

Only one of those pitches was close enough to be a strike; the other four were so far outside there's no way Cody Ross could have done much more than roll the ball over to first base. That's a shitty way to lose a game: on an excessively expanded strike zone.

Today's game was far worse, however. The pitching just didn't have an answer to the Rangers offense. Lester gave up seven runs in only 2+ Innings, but it gets worse from there: the bullpen gave up eleven more, and Melancon didn't even record an out, giving up six runs in the eighth inning, an inning in which the Rangers posted a snowman on the scoreboard.

The only saving grace for Sox fans despite the 18-3 loss is that tomorrow's another day.
