Tebow is barely average and unless he actually becomes good at throwing the football that is all he will ever be. A lot of the drops were terribly thrown balls by Tebow, and the offense has to revolve around the run option when he is at the QB spot. He severely limits the options on offense, which is why he is best as a change of pace QB rather than a full time center.

The defensive coordinator must have been on crack this week though, because there is no other reason for playing zone defense all the time against an offense that's primary weakness is bump and run coverage.

What was Dennis Allen thinking when he schemed the defense to play zone coverage against the Pats? Why is it that we only rushed THREE guys on 90% of the plays only to have Brady sit in the pocket for god knows how long and just pick us apart? Why was Edelman being double covered instead of Gronk or Welker? -_-

Safety and the cornerback position other than Bailey needs to be completely revamped this offseason as well as getting a legitimized defensive tackle that can put pressure up the middle.

Offensively, I'm looking forward to Tim Tebow having a full offseason. I think come preseason next year, we will see drastic improvements in Tebow's game throwing the football. Thomas seems like he can become an elite receiver and Decker needs to move into the slot position. Now get another legitimized WR on the other side of Thomas and and we will be set.

We also need to acquire a good RB in the draft. McGahee played well this year, but he is way too old right now.

You know I felt good for Davis when he caught that TD to win the game, then when I saw him crying and hugging Harbaugh I remembered this:



And now I genuinely feel good for the guy. I bet he felt so crushed after that, it shows just how far he's come with Harbaugh since then. If the Texans lose tomorrow I'll be rooting for him and the 49ers all the way.

Stats are a moot point considering the major focus on offense these days, which is why I wouldn't put a ton of stock into Brady winning a super bowl this year. Sure it would be good for his rating from a historical perspective, but I don't see it being that significant considering the league is all about offense now and Brady's current offense (and the offense the Pats have had for the past few years) has been nothing short of dominant. I think it is really only significant to those that care only about the numbers of titles and such, but really Brady's career is already set in stone at this point and unless he rips off two or more superbowls I don't see it changing significantly.

Don't forget either that Montana went a long way to making his "Hal of Fame" players the quality that they were. That's just what a good quarterback does, especially with the skill position players. From a team perspective, you can't base it solely on "hall of fame" level players either, because to be perfectly honest the Patriots have had probably the best pass-protecting offensive line in the NFL for a majority of the past 10+ years. Even if they aren't all going to the Hall of Fame, that line has been dominant. It certainly helps a lot, as it was shown today when Brady had literally all the time in the world to throw to whoever he wanted.

If he wins this year and gets another, sure you can say best ever, but I think it's hard to do so when the focus these days is so strongly on offense and defenses are being left in the dust. I mean really, just look at recent history. We have Manning, Brady, Favre, and by the end of his career likely Rodgers all taking up spots in the "top 5" or whatever for all time QBs, largely because of the way offenses have evolved and the evolution of the game in general.

Now all I need is the Ravens to win and beat the Patriots and it will be a good playoff season.
