If you look at them where they were a year ago to now, their improvement is obvious.

Sanders started last year fourth on the depth chart at wr. As a rookie, he had three different quarterbacks throwing to him during the first four games of the season. Despite that, he still finished the season with almost 30 rec and 400 yards. Brown was in the same exact situation, but was the fifth wr option on the team. He started out pretty slow, but when he had a chance, he played very well. He had two clutch catches in the divisional and AFC championship game. He looked good this preseason, highlighted by 137 and 64 yards against the Falcons and Redskins respectively. Along with that, he was the most impressive player in camp. Sanders was hurt for most of the preseason, so he wasn't really able to do much, but in the game he did play, in the limited time he was in he still had 60 yards.

In his first year, only starting four games, he had 750 yards and 6 TDs, and led the entire NFL in yard/rec. Last year he was fifth in the league in receiving (without Ben for four games, mind you), had 10 TDs and was second in the league in yard/rec. If he doesn't drop that pass on fourth down in the Superbowl, we could be having a completely different enlargement. It's only logical to assume that all three of them are going to make even greater strides in their development. All three of them block on the run, and Brown is a good return man. The potential of this core is huge, especially with a Hall of Famer like Hines Ward to teach them.
