I honestly don't think the hit warrants a suspension. There's no intent to injure visible in the play. It was a fast play, that ended horribly. If you want to talk about whether or not it was a late hit, then that's another conversation, but I don't see any intention. It's unfortunate for Max.

The hit was very unfortunate, and to be honest I was more disturbed by it than anything else. At that point it didn't matter that it was the Bruins going against the Habs and the score certainly didn't matter. What mattered was another player's well-being.

Like I said before, I hope Max can make a full recovery and get back on the ice. Because I don't like to see that happen to anybody.

You're not the only one with officiating woes. Tonight's Bruins/Sabres game was riddled with blatantly bad officiating, with the Sabres getting away with clear-cut penalties in front of the referee's line of vision (only to let play continue with no call), only for the Bruins to get stuck with ticky-tack and Grade A Bullshit calls.

In my honest opinion, the way tonight's game was officiated was intentional and deliberate, and was in retaliation for the Zdeno Chara incident in Montreal. Ian Walsh and Brad Watson-the referees that "worked" tonight's game (and I mean that in more ways than one)-should be fired from the NHL on the grounds of crooked, unethical officiating, and using their power as referees to retaliate against a club [Boston Bruins] for an incident from another game.

Getting real tired of the NHL's crooked zebras jobbing teams like this was the WWE. Seriously, I haven't seen officating this *bleep*ing outrageous since Stephan Auger and Paul Devorski screwed the Bruins in a similar fashion a few seasons ago, and I haven't seen a game in which the ice was-or should have been-littered with garbage since the game the Habs scored the GW PP Goal off a bad penalty call with only 1.2 seconds left (I believe that was the year after the lockout-lost season).

That Chara incident isn't going away, I don't think--there's still some bellaching about it.

Typical, I complain about the video review system and then it's used to disallow a goal for us. Still 1-0 down with less than 10 to go; that goal sure would have been handy...

Not that I can blame the refs though. We've played just as shit tonight as we have in the last four losses.

Habs knock off the Penguins 3-0 today. I'm loving it.

Also loving the comeback that Atlanta had to beat Philly 5-4. Hopefully Atlanta can keep this up and make the playoffs.

Hoping for Calgary to go down against the Canucks.
