	6 errors and a .989 fielding percentage? Don't hate. Highest fielding percentage at his position in the majors. 	Fielding percentage isn't the best or even a good statistic when determining defensive skill - players with greater range than an aged Jeter will reach more plays and increase their chances to make errors, but at the same time create countless more outs. It's impossible to have a perfect stat to determine defensive skill but UZR is probably the most solid. Jeter is legit hovering at the bottom of the list. The only Yankee that deserved a gold glove didn't even get one. Shame.

I think he is a great choice, as are Cano ad Teixeira. More numbers? UZR is built with about a thousand more numbers. Fielding percentage is obnoxiously Neanderthal with its simplicity. It's just: was there or was there not an error. As I said, someone with greater range of COURSE is going to have more errors because they're reaching countless more plays. If someone stood still at SS and only caught balls that were hit directly at them, chances are they'd have a 1.000 fielding percentage and 0 errors. UZR on the other hand is built by countless statistics. It's one of the more advanced sabermetrics out there and infinitely more useful than fielding percentage.

	Checking fangraphs and other sites who study glovework, show Jeter consistently in the bottom of nearly all categories. Not to mention the Yankees are one of the worst in the majors at giving up hits in the SS/3B hole and up the middle. Cano deserved his GG. Teixeira, I'm undecided. 	And I'd agree to disagree with you on him deserving a gold glove this year. The reason I'm not upset with him winning is because of the weak competition in 2B this year. I'm surprised Yankee fans are ok with this situation. The best defensive OF in baseball this year didn't win a gold glove and they seem to be cool with it because they're distracted with Jeter being given a gift.

	Whose the best defensive outfielder like you are saying? Gardner??? Have you EVER seen Franklin Gutierrez. That man deserved in last year. He flat out makes work in the outfield, I was extremely impressed with his athleticism and speed, and he takes insanely good routes to the ball like he's a 10 year veteran... and this was when he was still with Cleveland. Honestly, if I had to put out a list, this is what I would've gave: AL: OF - Franklin Gutierrez OF - Carl Crawford OF - Ichiro Suzuki C - Matt Wieters 1B - Daric Barton 2B - Robinson Cano SS - Alexei Ramirez 3B - Adrian Beltre or Evan Longoria, it's a tossup P - Mark Buehrle And overall I completely agree with the National League for the most part except for First Base should be Adrian Gonzalez. That guy can flat out field.

Definitely. I'd be hard pressed to pick anyone better than Gutierrez in the OF. Plus, going by the NUMBERS, he's statistically the best OF in the entire majors. He's better than Ichiro too. 	Good, so atleast one award this year I can completely agree on. Halladay and Hernandez both deserved it. Hernandez had a completely dominating season. It would be a shame if the Yankees ever bought him.
