	Log in to remove this sponsored message Vector, I love you man. Rodney Mullen is by far my favorite skater of all time and seeing that video in the first post brought a smile to my face. Since I've started chemo I haven't been skating so much, but two days ago I landed a nollie varial heel down a 5 set. It was soooo clean it really seemed effortless even though it took me about 30 tries to land it. ------------------- Skateboarding Thread

	Hot dayum. Nollie varial heel? Down a 5? Dub tee eff. I find it sad sometimes how awful I am after skating for such a long time. Rodney Mullen is definitely sick. Needs to put out some new parts. Anybody see Torey Pudwills part in Transworlds new video Hallelujah? Go watch it. The stuff he throws down is ridiculous. -------------------

	Hoping I don't step on any nuclear bombs by reviving this thread for my own selfish needs. How the HELL does one ollie? I got the popping down, I can slide my foot right, all that stuff. Sometimes I'll pop the tail, slide my foot up to the front, everything works great aside from the fact that the back wheels somehow stayed on the ground. Or I slap the tail up, and slide my foot to realize that there's nothing to slide my foot on. Or any other number of combinations of lack of skill, dexterity, luck, and balance that come along. How did you learn, and how long did it take you to get it down? How do you personally do them now? EDIT: I forgot to mention a large part. I'm using a crappy walmart board with terrible grip tape, so I'm thinking it might be that when I slide my foot, it doesn't grip and pull the board up, or level out. 	Yeah man, the walmart boards are kinda hard to learn on. But you gotta suck your knees up into your chest. You can pop and slide all you want, but if you dont jump up to anywhere, your boards not going anywhere either. It takes a ton of practice to figure out ollies. Once you figure them out you can progress way more. Learning to ollie is one of the hardest things to do in my eyes. Just gotta keep practicing. Look up some youtube videos even. -------------------

	The X-Games used to be pretty big for me, but I haven't kept up with them in years. Saw Bob Burnquist's painful fall in his Big Air practice run, and it hurt just to watch. For him to come back later in the week and win the Gold again, man, that was unbelievable, haha. Haven't watched much else of it, other than a little bit of the Women's Street competition. Alexis Sablone took it pretty well. -------------------

	Bucky Lasek was the guy I played the most with back in the THPS days, haha. Was definitely my favorite skater out of those featured. Shame I missed him in this X Games but apparently he took the silver in Vert. Good on him to still be tearing it up, haha. -------------------

The 1080 is sick no matter what, but to me it isnt the same as on a half pipe. Once somebody throws it in a legit half pipe its gonna be a super huge thing. -------------------

	I attempted to do a kickflip at my local skatepark whilst going up the half-pipe. I however unfortunatley landed it wrong and snapped my deck. -------------------
