Canucks up 1-0 against the Oilers at the end of the first. Nice tip in on the PP by Grabner.

Wow, Anze Kopitar leading the league with 21 points in 12 games, who would have ever seen that coming? I hope he can keep this pace up for the entire season, I've always liked the kid.

All I remember about Kopitar is he looks like he's on drugs.

It's decided: I love Joe Sacco. Somehow the Avs are first in the conference, despite being as injured as ever and having not gained any players in the offseason that one would predict to have a major impact on the team. God bless Craig Anderson.

That's not entirely true, I'm sure most people who knew anything about the prospects in the 2009 Entry Draft figured Duchene would have a pretty big impact on a team that was the worst in the league offensively. O'Reilly and Galiardi really caught me by surprise though, and Anderson has been a godsend for them.

re: NHL Discussion

Just curious here, I'm looking at Luongo's TOI for the edmonton game where he got a shutout and it says 59:54

where did the other 6 seconds go?

re: NHL Discussion

I would assume he went to the bench for a delayed penalty.

So Martin fractured his arm and now we are seriously *bleep*ed. At least Elias will be back soon but we are going to need Marty to play real good.

re: NHL Discussion

I guess I did forget about Duchene, didn't I. He is playing quite well... although I'm a little disappointed that he hasn't scored more. 6 points with a -3 +/- isn't phenomenal or anything. Still, I think it's safe to say that nobody thought that just because we were getting Duchene, we would go from the bottom of the conference last season to the top this year.

Also in the last couple seconds of the 1st period, Canucks forced a faceoff in the Oilers end, so I guess they just said "*bleep* it", pulled Luongo for the extra man and tried to get the puck to the net and crash. Was unsuccessful, but was still a pretty cool move.

Dude, Toronto is 0-7-1. I suggest gluing the paper-bag on your head for the rest of the season.

re: NHL Discussion

I can't wait to see the Washington and Philly game. There is some bad blood between Ovechkin and Richards.

Also, look at the league leaders on NHL.com. Andrew Raycroft best save percentage? Has he even played one full game?

re: NHL Discussion

The leafs has NO SCORING. Not to mention the fact their star player(Phil Kessel) isn't going to be on the ice til november. Tbh, something needs to happen. Maybe firing the coach right now will be a spark. I mean, didn't take them long last year to fire the Black Hawk coach or Tampa's Coach.
