I agree with DCRage. Every fight on the UFC 99 maincard has the potential to be an absolute war. Lets check it out:

Franklin/Silva - two of the most exciting fighters in all of MMA. This fight should be an absolute slugfest. Forget about the ground game here, as these fighters are fighting for a knockout.

Velesquez/Kongo - two of the best strikers in the heavyweight division, both rising stars and the winner will likely get a title shot next. Both fighters are very exciting.

Swick/Saunders - another exciting matchup with two great strikers. Mike Swick has the nickname "quick" for a reason, as he finishes his fights quick and in a brutual fashion. Ben Saunders looked absolutely dominate in his last fight, getting that guy in the muay thai clinch and kneeing him in the head until his face was disfigured.

Davis/Hardy - a bad blood/grudge match/slugfest waiting to happen. Both of these guys hate eachother and are looking to knock eachother out. Both of them are terrific boxers, so another exicting stand up war.

Crocop/Al-turk or Fisher/Uno - whichever fight makes the main card will be an exciting fight either way.

Even though theres no title fight on UFC 99, this PPV will most likely be one of the most exciting and action-packed of the year.

Not a done deal yet but Machida might have his first title defense at UFC 104. It's not Rampage...

Rampage-Rashad in the post-TUF 10 coaches' fight is tentatively scheduled for UFC 103 in late September.

So is there going to be two new inductees into the Hall of Fame? Any ideas on who they might be?
And is Chuck Liddell fully retired now, or did Dana just retire Chuck himself? I used to think he was a bit of a dick, but I'm starting to like the bloke now.

On Chuck, depends on who you ask. Dana says he's retired. Chuck's traner says he's not. Chuck says he hasn't made up his mind either way. On the HOF, Chuck's probably one of them.

I just realised the significance of the Kongo-Velasquez fight, as if Kongo wins, he is set to earn a title shot against the UFC Heavyweight Champion, which I think will be Frank Mir.

I want to say Hughes will be the other one, but he's still active (or so he says) and I'm not sure if they'll put an active guy in even though they've got 2 still going, even though they retired first (Couture & Coleman).

UFC 102 has also been confirmed for August 29, but no location announced. It's probably going to be somewhere in Portland, OR. No fights confirmed yet but Randy Couture vs. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira is expected to be the main event.

Also of note: Despite seemingly to be courting them and wanting to sign with them, Japanese judo standout Satoshi Ishii apparently will not sign with UFC after all. While the deal's not done it appears he's headed for World Victory Road (Sengoku).

He'll be in some day for sure.
