Wow, unbelievable. Murray actually has a good chance of winning now. Nah. He'll lose to Gonzalez who's been on fire on clay. Roddick/Federer to win it. Roddick won't win... That seems impossible that he lost, really Federer will never have a better chance to win the French Open but I can see an outsider winning now.

Nadal is 4/1 for Wimbeldon in the aftermath of the French Open. They're terrific odds, one loss doesn't make a player any worse, he still has the upper hand on Federer.

It's not about odds; this is tennis, not horse racing. Nadal no doubt has the skill to get it done, but I'm also hoping Federer takes it. I want to see Pete's record finally fall, dammit. Obviously not, but I can and other people can make money whether it's horse-racing or tennis.

Fair play to Falla, superb performance nearly as well as you can play against Federer. Federer always just has that extra gear unfortunately, it's what makes him the greatest.

My main gripe about that match would be people saying 'The best match ever'. Longest match ever and most records broken but it was tedious at times as they just kept holding serve, especially when you compare it to a game like Federer vs Nadal final two years ago when there were rally after rally finished with exquisite winners. Most of the points in this match were unreturned serves and volleys after just returned serves.

Really open now and should be exciting. Murray can beat Nadal and has done in the past, however I think Nadal will overpower him. Despite Berdych's great performance today I think that Djokovic would have beaten Federer too anyway. So I think he'll win that one and it'll be a Djokovic/Nadal final.

Less than impressive start for Nadal then. Although it would have seemed very unlikely a few years ago, Djokovic is probably favourite ahead of Nadal for this at the moment on current form.

Wimbledon started today, who will win the mens and ladies singles? Nadal is safely through to the second round after a comfortable straight sets win.

Djokovic-Nadal for the next few Wimbledon finals it looks like, Murray can take inspiration from Novak though because the two of them have always been at a similar level, now Djovokic has upped it a notch this year and gained the belief that he can beat Federer and Nadal.

re: Tennis

Djokovic seems to have the psychological edge over Nadal, in the same way that Nadal has the edge over Federer. For that reason, Djokovic has to be favourite but you can never rule out Nadal for any match.

What a match it is so far, Nadal will never give up. Both men have given a new meaning to the term 'make your opponent hit an extra shot'. They've reached so many winners with supreme athleticism.
Thought Djokovic had him there, still would fancy him. Guy is a machine.

Has there been a year better than this ever? Djovokic with his third major, 60+ win, 10th title and 6th time beating Nadal. What an incredible player.

Andy Murray wound up winning the Gold Medal in Olympic Tennis. A career accomplishment that not too many can lay claim to is winning the Career Grand Slam, plus an Olympic Gold Medal (I know there's a term for that but I can't remember what it is).
Golden Slam.
