Come on Soderling or Del Potro, someone must beat the Fed Express train.

I'm a Murray and Nadal fan, who has a distaste for some of Roger's interviews of the last year or two.

Only worry for Del Potro is that he hasn't faced anyone with any real quality yet. His main advantage must be his huge wing span and serve, but it seemed unthinkable when the season started that Del Potro could win a major before Andy Murray. The horror. Murray must take one of Wimbledon or the US Open surely *begs*.

Women's semis today, Safina leads Cibulkova 6-3, 4-3 in the 2nd. Kuznetsova vs. Samantha Stosur should start in a few minutes.

Men's semis: Soderling beat Gonzalez 6-3, 7-5, 5-7, 4-6, 6-4. Del Potro leads Federer 6-3, 6-7, 6-2.

I think he heard you. 4-1 in the 4th and just took the last game in a shutout.

6-1 Federer, going to 5th set.

Federer is back. 2-0 in the 5th, has won the last 7 games of the match.

He played well Soderling, but he looked beatable today, Gonzalez was battling, battling, battling, and played well, but it wasn't enough. Soderling regained some composure while, Gonzalez was losing his after a few dodgy cals by the line judge. Gonzalez was subsequently understood to be rightfully peeved according to French television.

If Federer plays like he did today, Soderling should force the win in the end, but it could be another 5 setter.

I think his record helps because a lot of the time soderling seems to just dictate play with his power so if federer knows to stop it to a certain extent then it works to his agvantage. Saying that soderling is a different beast this time round and could genuinely win this match if he keeps playing the same level of tennis he's been producing and doesnt dip like in the gonzalez match.

Kuznetsova is the women's champion. 4, 2 over Safina. Safina still will be the world #1 through late July but is now 0-3 career in Slam finals. Steffi Graf presented the winner's trophy to Kuznetsova (Graf won the last of her 6 French titles 10 years ago).

Federer wins 6-1, 7-6, 6-4. That ties Sampras' record of 14 career Grand Slam titles.
