You wouldn't have known it by watching him tonight...he was just horrible. As soon as he gave up the 2 leadoff walks you could tell his head wasn't in the game.

TB won in walk-off fashion last night.

Pitching duel all the way through, such a good game to watch but an important one lost for the Sox. And once again they won't finish the series against the Rays with the division lead. >_<

Holy shit what a rough opening schedule. At Boston, At Baltimore, vs Yankees, vs White Sox... Then we play 20 straight days of baseball that get capped off with vs Boston, vs Baltimore, at Yankees, at Boston. I'm telling you, the MLB are such a group of *bleep*ing pricks. They're doing this bullshit on purpose because they just want to bump the *bleep*ing Red Sox and Yankees into the post season every year. Talk about having someone's balls snuggly fit in your mouth.

I don't think it was done on purpose, but I can definitely understand your frustration. That looks like one helluva schedule to open up with.

Hawkeye, if it makes you feel better (which it probably won't) I have seen the Yankees open up with horrifying schedules like that. I honestly don't think it is some manipulative ratings issue, but random chance. In all the years I have been watching the Yanks, I have seen them open to very difficult schedules, very soft schedules, and everything in between. Also, sometimes the teams we think are going to be anazing in the folowing year, end up bad or have poor starts, so you can never tell whether a seemingly difficult schedule is really going to be as hard as it looks at first glance.

You are probably right, but the schedules are created before the season ends, so it might be hard to predict who will be the best and worst teams for the beginning of the following year.

I know the new Stadium is going to be awesome and state of the art, but I really am going to mis the house thet Ruth built.

Man, if you aren't proud to be a Yankee fan after today, there's something wrong with you.
