Dude, not liking a team because they play against teams you don't like is stupid. If the teams that play against your favorite team didn't exist, than your favorite team wouldn't have anyone to play, therefore not exist.

It is okay to not like a team based on uniforms, stadiums, the people that are on the team, etc. but not because they play against your favorite team.

That isn't evidence. Thats opinion. Not to mention, its a very flawed opinion. The Twins don't have more fans than the Mets, I can assure you that. The Mets have a huge market. Nobody on the current Twins team is a showoff. I admit that there have been a couple of troublemakers in the Twins organization in the past, but every team has had a couple of club cancers in the past and present.

The current Twins roster isn't made up of showoffs, it is just a bunch of young kids playing their hearts out.

You are getting ridiculous. None of them are showoffs. Santana is not a showoff, he is just good. He, like Bamman said, is a class act, and isn't really about the money or fame. He gives I think 30% or something like that of the cash he earns to poor families in Venezuela, his home country.

I hear you Bamman. You have never been condescensding to me in all the years we have been friends on here. It could also be that maybe some of the diehard Sox fans I met like me enough not to shit all over my city in my presence.

Snowball, I don't always agree with Bamman, particularly about NY, NY fans and the Yankees. However, you are clinging to straws in your defense of your initial posts. The fact is that you have every right to hate the Twins, including Santana. Nobody is disputing that. However, every reason you gave was either debunked by fact or completely irrational. You have yet to give one reason you hate the Twins that makes any objective sense. By the way, I don't think that anyone is even saying you are wrong about that. What people like Bamman are calling you on is that you are posturing as if you have some criteria or objective reasons to hate the Twins when clearly you do not.

If you feel this way, why not simply say something like, "I hate that team. I am really not sure why, I just do. I have always hated them and I always will."

The problem is that when you try to pass off tangental, amorphous feelings as if they have some basis in rhyme or reason, you end up looking foolish. Simply say that you hate the team and ar not sure why.

Who could argue with that?

ahhhh, astros are signing players left and right. who knows if it'll lead to any success, but im just glad management is doing something. we can finally get new players now that we arent playing clemens $19 million a year anymore
