After pressing the button at the final castle which forces Bowser and Jr. to drop, press up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, b, a, and you will unlock 10 new minigames.

Play as Princess Peach:

After you've beaten the game with Mario, go and beat the game again with Luigi.Then the Princess will come on the touch screen and say "Dear Luigi, I am tired of being a good-for-nothing idiot that always gets caught in stupid traps.I want to be a hero!!!!!!!!".Then Luigi and Mario will both fall over Anime-style and in big bubble letters on the top screen it will say "FAT CHANCE!".Then go back and start your file over again and you can chose Princess Peach as your character.
