In Master League mode, I'm using a 3-4-3 variation.

Defence - 3 at the back with Carragher and Henchoz on the left and right, then Hyppia sweeping in behind (trying to buy someone tall with pace to replace him for next season)

Midfield - Got Hamman sitting in front of the defence (arrows going left and right for attack), and Gerrard right next to him as a CM. Then Kewell is a LM, slightly attacking, with Danny Murphy as an AM, slightly to the right making runs. Usually my attacks stem through him.

Forwards - Cisse is my target man, with Baros playing just off him, then the best part of all is Pongolle as a RWF, extremely far to the right, making him my outlet. Always get the ball to him where he uses his pace and dribbling to get past players and cross one in.

I find it's highly effective because of the width Pongolle provides, sometimes I just play it direct and counter attack through him, or other times a through ball to my forwards from either Murphy or Kewell.
