	By turning around and running away, I believe. It's not possible to beat Steve, so you need to 180 right away and run. He'll get you with a few swipes as you retreat, so make sure you have several combined herbs or first aid sprays on you. Potential Spoiler below Considering how strong he is, I don't understand how a single tentacle can stop him. Claire gets hit by it as well, yet she comes off fine. Maybe the virus also has an effect afterwards?

	actually u can kill steve buy shooting just one handgun bullet through hus head it will trigger a secret cut scene wer u will encounter the same tyrant as in the one in resident evil 2.
