I'm chill with ship being gone simply because Mechs and WH exist, giving options for anybody who wants to mount something all night long. The ship was certainly cool and fun, but it just didn't really fit with the playstyle of the class up to that point.

Drain will definitely be missed though, it was an excellent skill that synergized well, there was no need to remove it.

For me, the whole point of Corsair was the cool pirate ship. Now with that going to be gone, my lv140 UA Corsair seems so pointless. My only hope is that the Hurricane-like pirate skill is almost or more powerful than Hurricane, and makes the loss of the Battleship Cannon attack worth it.

I don't care about riding something, but the awesome ship made getting to lv120 worth it.

Sucks about the Drain skill being gone for Thieves. I spammed that skill at times to stay alive! Wonder what people think of that.

A lot of people feel that way, but the problem that arises is that the people who want to play what the class is designed around, fast shooting pistols, are left in the dust. Completely changing the class dynamic that late in is a really silly thing to do.
Not that nexon actually thinks about synergy like that, considering the skills they removed I think they just wanted to make people mad.

Nexon removed ST so that Buccs would have to buy nx to cover their ugly non-nx equips.

That is probably the real reason for that specific change, which I find utterly hilarious in a schadenfreude sort of way.

Every class forever has got some form of Flash Jump now, DB/Shad got SP as well. Heck, NL are getting a reskinned BoT, while CB lose BoT.

No class having something special about it is just something we'll have to get used to I guess, it's a trend nexon seems to be heading toward at full speed.

It's spawned from bad feedback not being filtered.

People saying things like, "OH THAT SKILL IS COOL WHY DON'T I HAVE SOMETHING THAT COOL?!?!?!", and nexonK following it without thinking about the repercussions.

I was so sure that Nexon was gonna give us that. D:

Maybe in another six months, that seems to be their schedule anyway.

They will complain but have no right to. Thieves (excluding db) and Pirates (excluding sair) are constantly bottom of the DPS charts, and while with Pirates that's just one class being bad, with just how bad it was, it was a big problem. The classes just simply needed a more extensive revamp than the others did. Also keep in mind the last time around (the balance stuff coming to us next month) Thieves and Pirates were not touched, while every other class is being tweaked in both sets of patches.

5th job will not happen unless they boost the level cap, there's not enough SP to go around. It's been hinted that "in their current state" players could not defeat the Black Mage, though if there's actually any plans behind that or if it's just nexon talking big, is something we may never know.

To be honest, I think they just need to divide everyone's damage by 10, and divide all monster hp by 5. I think that will instantly balance out a lot of issues with damage and such, since the low end and high end damage ranges will instantly become a lot closer, so it wouldn't make much difference which class you were.

But of course, Nexon would never nerf that hard.

Wouldn't work, The difference between high and low damage is far too great. Also since you're keeping the same ratios, while the differences might not be as apparent they would still exist.
