	Log in to remove this sponsored message So on the Kerning Square quests, the last one is the one where you have to kill the Spirit of Rock boss. I'm thinking no problem, he can't be that hard. Oh how wrong I was. Atm my cleric is level 39 and is pretty decent VS the Spirit of rock who has 3 impossible to dodge spells which each hit 300 (and one which sends you flying away and stuns you temporarily, he loves to spam this) AND a healing spell which heals himself 15,000+ hp AND a self-buff spell which is basically sends your damage back at you. It took me 20 minutes to get his health down to 1/3, and every time I get it's health to 1/4, he uses the healing spell and it goes back up to 1/3. Every time. It's ridiculous, how the hell does Nexon expect a cleric to kill that thing? You can't party with anyone either when fighting it.

	yea hes strong im glad but il tell you this the prequest SUCK ! really wish i had the patients to kill everything 100 times so i can go kill him for a quest and not for fun

THe flying one's annoying, solve this by continuously spamming Teleport- Attack. He'll attack in the wrong place with some luck. I dunno how to kill it as a mage/cleric. I'm pretty sure you have no spells to stop him healing or something. By the way, the whole reward of the Kerning Mall is a earring with +1 everything. If you have something better, you could screw this. Another side note: When you kill it by any chance, LISTEN TO HIM. The quest giver will ask you which song it was. If you get it wrong, you've got to kill it again. You do not want that.

	I'm going to bump this up for future reference. You can fight the Spirit of Rock in a party, but only one person can get the Score Scroll. Regardless, more people make it easier, so it's spammable. You do not need to be a high level to complete this, just find a few party members and you'll be fine. I completed it at level 39 on an I/L with two other Evans not much higher than me.

	My Aran could do it at level 41 Here's a tip, as long you can afford pot spamming (DEX Potions are also good), Stay close to SoR. Some of is attacks will not affect you and if you can position yourself right, you won't take KB either. It might be hard for jobs without fast-attacking skills though. -------------------

	That's cuz, I'm assuming GMS Aran does more damage. My Combo Smash only does 1000 damage, when my character's perfectly fine.

	Mana sheild is your friend, that is if clerics have it? I'm playing an Evan and I beat him twice in a row at level 39 and again at 40. (ran into him while doing the prequests and decided to see what he drops, only about 4k mesos and nothing else fyi, then had to kill him again for the actual quest.) I just kept running into him over and over with mana shield on. Hitting his body actually hurts about 30 less then getting hit by his spells. You'll be sucking down mana pots but you wont have to worry about dying as much. Clerics though... I dunno how hard they can hit. I was using lightning bolt and hitting at 1.8K steadily and his heals were still a pain in the ass for me.

	I used my spearman with a Maple Impaler which has a fast speed and faster with booster. After learning his patterns, I just found out when he'd use that move that throws you back and jump behind him. Doing this took a loooooot of pots though. ------------------- I really hate the world.

How to solo Spirit of Rock as a BaM: Corner yourself Stand in a corner, so when he uses the move that shoves you all the way across the map, nothing happens, since you're already at the end. If he tries to run off, use Dark Chain to bring him back. Dark Aura Dark Aura gives you more DPS than the 1as from Yellow. Shouldn't take more than fifteen minutes. ------------------- [twitter]
