I've got a few problems.

1) When I login to the game and I'm about to choose a channel and a server I have about 45secs to do so or else the game will completely close and I get the message "Disconnected from the login server"

2) However thats not too bad as I can usually login fast enough and after I do successfully whenever I change character I have no time limit. Now though i can't get into the server at all. Whenever I click a world it just says to login from the website which I always do. I sent in a ticket as well.

Well I was randomly able to log in but I still get disconnected after a few seconds choosing a character.


I should have a different type of internet connection by Sunday so I'll see if anything changes then.

That sounds like an issue on nexon's side, you'll have to send them a ticket via their feedback/q&a service.

Sorry for the late reply, I searched around Google and it seems like there are a lot of people with this problem, and all of the fingers are being pointed at nexon. It's possible there's some code relating to NPCs that isn't sitting right with Vista/Win7, which wouldn't be wholly unexpected considering how buggy the game has been for the OS's.

Your computer is above and beyond the requirements, and a corrupted file shouldn't be causing this problem (which is the problem re-installing fixes), you may be a bit screwed. I'll check some extra places and ask around to be sure.

This only happens to a small minority of players, and it seems likely to do with your ISP. It certainly isn't Nexon's fault, because if it is, everyone would be affected, rather than just a small number of people.

If it was the ISP it would be widespread, not limited to towns. The fact that it's targeted to a specific area type in-game immediately places it on either the client or server, not the space in between.

Many of the bugs in Maple are on nexon's shoulders, even though they only manifest through a small amount of players. A lot of bugs can come from untested compatibility issues. It certainly isn't a "nexon does stuff wrong!" sort of situation, game developers can't predict every compatibility issue their product may have when they ship it, Battlefield Bad Company 2, Magicka, perfect examples of that. In the end, it rests on nexon's shoulders to fix compatibility bugs, especially when their anti-hack software doesn't allow the user to change their compatibility with the game (as in, running the game in Compatibility Mode for XP causes Hackshield to flip out).

Kota, are all of your drivers and the such updated? .NET and your Graphics Driver would be the bigger ones. Flash couldn't hurt either, Maple TVs run off swf files.
