Pichu: Are you on a Computer Administrator account? If not, what are your restrictions?

mtmmatt: "not supported for your system" Means that you did not download the correct file. For the record, Drivers are always free, when you pay websites, or in-store help desks, you're paying them to find and install the correct file. Since you have a PC, it's possible to partially take it apart and look at the graphics card you have. I would not suggest doing this if you don't know what you're doing, perhaps your dad or a friend could do it, provided they know a bit about computer hardware.

Your graphic processor is built into the motherboard so the driver you need is closely related to the make and model of your computer - there's no use taking it apart. The information you need is on the first page of dxdiag.

If not, this driver matches your description so try it out.

Hi, I have a "little" problem here. And I hope you can help me out

Everytime I login to MapleStory, I get this error "MapleStory.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

that error comes out like 5-10 seconds after the login screen pops.

That's related to your computer's specs. If it's too laggy, it'll close with an error.

Speaking of errors...

I get one when I switch to windowed mode.

I can't remember what it says, but it ends with it suggesting a reinstall.

It says something is missing.

the thing is, it works fine... I seriously can't see anything wrong with it.

I'll edit in the full pop-up when I get home if you need it.

Uhh.. it's not laggy when I start maple. And I can play other "memory-eating" games normally @_@
But oh well, here's my specs. Hope you can check if it really is the cause.

I get that too. A reinstall should fix.

Your specs are high enough for maple I believe, but I have no clue what you define are memory eating games, your computer is below recommended specs for most recent games.

The login screen shouldn't be laggy for any computer with more than 512mb of RAM. Still, with only 849mb of RAM, you don't meet the recommended specs of 1gb of RAM

As for window mode... There's a program you can use to play in Window mode. I use it every now and then when I'm multi tasking, cause Maplestory's window mode sucks balls.

I know the program you speak of, but the built-in window mode isn't shabby. It was horrible when released, because of the adbar; But now it looks like you're used to.

Technically, you should be close enough. A 2gig RAM computer running x86 Win7 Pro can run MS, which means 1918mb - 1000mb = 918mb RAM or so.

The problem may lie with your graphics card, it's integrated. Integrated cards borrow power from your CPU and RAM, so if your card steals all of the RAM, it would explain why you're being thrown out.

What games do you play that you believe are "graphics intensive"?

Actually, Maple's window mode doesn't allow you to minimize the screen, so it's always an active window, which means it eats up a lot of CPU

Oh i see..
Graphics intensive games.. Hmm.. Cabal, Perfect World, HoN?

I considered those as "G.I." games, because when I play them on vista, I lag. >_< (reasoning of a tech newbie T_T)

And uhh. is there a way so that my gfx card won't "steal" all of the RAM?

No, it requires your RAM to work. If you somehow told it to stop eating RAM, your graphics card would be useless, and you would be getting a -2147 error when MS started.
