I'm going to assume you haven't figured out how to get to Reptile by feeding the trees. Throughout the Living Forest level there are 3 trees if I'm not mistaken that can attack you. You can feed these trees to clear a path to Reptile's lair by throwing an enemy into them. If you've done it right, you'll see a short cut scene.
