They've kind of changed the sprint around this time, and when you press it, you'll maybe overrun it. But in This is Football 2005 when you press R1, I find it much more relaxed and easier to control. They've improved since the previous title I think. And although not much has changed, the sprinting has. Although it's a little jumpy at times, and you'll occasionally run through a tackle (or at least I did), when it's perfectly timed.

My brother hates it now. He found it much better in the other game, and I'm confused as to why he thinks this. What's your opinions on the changed sprint option? I have a habit of holding it down all the time, so naturally this would be a big thing for me.

I think it's worse.
You can't kick the ball a little forward to dodge a tackle and thus getting a free kick, and it's hard to steer.

I didnt really notice much difference in the sprint system but its all good...
