Stolen from MHF2, which was stolen from MHF. ;D
1 – Spamming - Spamming includes off topic posts, or pointless one liners. We don’t want to see posts that simple say ‘Lol, funny!’ or "Yeah". Put some meaning into them, and stick to the topic of the thread.
2 – Double Posting - There is no need to post twice in a row. The Edit function allows you to add more to your last post, so use this instead of posting twice.
3 – Flaming – Flaming will probably result in an instant ban. Everyone has the right to their own opinion, so don’t go attacking anyone if you disagree with them. If you see someone flaming another member, then report their post. Telling a Moderator that they aren't good at their job is counted as flaming and will result in an instant ban. From now on, don't do it.
4 – Memberating - Do not try to pose as a moderator in any way. We are more than capable of taking care of things. This also includes telling a Mod how to do his/her job. We know how to do our Job, that's why we're Moderators.
5 – Advertising - Advertising of any sort within your posts is against the Neoseeker Policy. If you wish to promote a site, then place the link in your signature.
6 – Creating Threads You are more than welcome to create a topic, but make sure it doesn’t already exist. We have a thread index, located below this post, so use it. Also, We don’t want to see any ‘General Discussion’, or ‘General Help’ threads, as they are no longer permitted on Neoseeker.
7 – Grammar and Punctuation - No one likes to have to decipher other peoples posts. Before submitting a post, run it through the spell check, it’s there for a reason. You don’t need to have an English Degree. Just make your posts readable.
8 – Game Threads- Before creating any type of game thread, please PM the rules to the moderator first either through PM or in the Suggestions thread. Badly designed games can result in a lot of spam.
9 – Illegal Material - The discussion of emulators, ROMs, Warez, CD Keys, Cracks, Key Generators or any other kind of illegal material is not allowed in this forum and it is not allowed in Neoseeker.com. Just don't discuss them and you will save yourself of a ban.
10 – Bypassing - Bypassing can be one of two things.
11 - Thread Titles - Thread titles must always be informative and related to the topic. I've noticed a lot of topics named "Help me" or "Need Help". Make the title relate to what you need help with. This will help us index it, and help others to come up with an answer.
If you don’t follow the rules, you may find yourself with a warning or ban. Unless you seriously violate the rules, you will probably start of with a warning. If you continue to break the rules, you will receive a ban.
1st Ban – 1-5 days
2nd Ban – 5-10 days
3rd Ban – 10-20 days
4th Ban – You will receive an IP ban from this forum.
Ban length will vary depending on the rule broken under certain circumstances.

1. a group of families or households, as among the Scottish Highlanders, the heads of which claim descent from a common ancestor: the Mackenzie clan.
2. a group of people of common descent; family: Our whole clan got together for Thanksgiving.
3. a group of people, as a clique, set, society, or party, esp. as united by some common trait, characteristic, or interest: a clan of actors and directors.
In the context of this forum (Metroid Prime: Hunters [DS]), the third definition is the most accurate. Essentially, clans are a subgroup of members of the community that are united by a common interest, such as a specific hunter, a common goal in the game, or simply the game itself. Ideally, clans have some relation to the game, though at some point clans might be opened up to a variety of topics like what has already been done in other forums on Neoseeker (such as Pokemon Diamond).
CREATION OF A CLAN:
Who can make one?
Anyone. It doesn't matter if you're a one star hunter who just got the game today or a five star legend that's had the game since the day it came out. If you want to make a clan, there's nothing stopping you from doing so. However, you need to make sure the first post is fairly organized and contains at least this information so people can find out about your clan much easier:
Important: Your clan must have a minimum of three (3) members before a clan thread can be made.
CONDUCT IN A CLAN:
What do we do in clan threads?
In general, the thread is used to discuss clan matters (training, clan events, clan wars, etc.) and for general on-topic discussion about the game. Occasional off-topic discussion is fine, but it should be kept to a minimum. Also, if you are not a member of a clan, please don't post in the thread unless:
What are the restrictions for clans?
Unfortunately, yes, there are restrictions to clans. There aren't many, though, and mainly refer to clan numbers.
What are they?
Clan wars are simply battles between two or more clans. These do not need the approval of a moderator, but they do need the approval of the leader(s) of every clan involved. Clan wars may be arranged via NeoPM, posting in another clan's thread, or by contacting the leader(s) of another clan through e-mail or an IM program. Once a clan war has been agreed upon, a new thread should be created in the forum showing what clans are involved, who will be playing against who, and the rules of the war. Outside opinions will be allowed, but discussion must be constructive and on a positive note. For example, you can say that "I think L5L will win this war" is perfectly fine, but you cannot say "L5L sucks!". It's understandable if you don't like one of the clans involved, but a clan war thread isn't the proper place to show your dislike.
