	Log in to remove this sponsored message Internet cafes, many large bookstores, college computer labs and around campus, etc., should all have a wi-fi signal hotspot. You can "create" your own by having a wireless Internet connection around your house, if say, you have a wireless router, like some have mentioned previously. These hotspots are not controlled by Nintendo, nor are they anything new. Nintendo and other companies are just finally starting to use them, I believe many Starbucks and Barnes and Nobles are planning to add wi-fi hotspots to their locations. So your options for playing your DS online are: Have a wireless Internet connection in your home or wherever, or find a location in town that has a wi-fi zone/spot/area/connection/whatever you want to call it, and play there. -------------------

	wow, 14 hotspots within 5 miles of my house, and 175 within 10 miles (anyone wanna take a stab at how many i got for 20?). maybe its because i live so close to dc. anyway, i probably will be using my connection at home most though. some of these places cost a few bucks that i might not have when i'm out playing. i know they're not that expensive, i just most likely wont have enough at those times. ------------------- XBL & PSN: NoKisum

	Well I wouldn't be too sure about that sonic x. Super Mario 64 DS is a launch game and as seen here, no launch games will have the WiFi capabilities. --Link-- Madden DS Online? Will Madden DS be online? Nope. None of the DS launch titles will take advantage of the system's WiFi capabilities. Perhaps next year's version of the game will, but I can't say with any amount of certainty at this point in time. I did contact Chad Paulson, founder of Warp Pipe and head of Demasked, a mystery upstart that could be working on products related to this very question, for further insight. Here's what he had to say: Gamers must realize that, with any console, things evolve. I wouldn't expect many, if any, first generation DS games to contain any online functionality. What gamers also should realize is that there is a conscious effort to make portable online gaming a reality, and in a bright new context unlike traditional console gaming. The DS technology also provides for a wireless LAN connection, which could allow a theoretically infinite number of players to connect at a hot spot and compete at a central game hub on the Internet, even if they're thousands of miles apart. If it isn't, come 2005, Nintendo will probably release something online where you connect with the NDS and Pictochat would become WiFi capable. But don't quote me on that. -------------------
