R4i Pocket doesn't work after 1.4.1U update

Do we have an update on this one. Like a new firmware? Or is there any way to factory reset the DSi itself to downgrade the firmware?

the r4i pocket is nothing else then a clone of the dstt card.so you can put the unofficial dstt software on it and renaming TTMENU.DAT to R4i.PK.this works for me.newest update dstt software v647.good luck

I have been looking for a fix to this problem and have found nothing yet.

As for r4i cards bricking a DSi, that is absolute bollocks...stop bashing products you know nothing about. I have been using the R4i cards on 4 different DS's and they have never caused any problems.

Nintendo is the problem...because they will not allow us to use the full functionality of our DS's using homebrew and other open source software out there. We purchased a DS for our own use...Nintendo only owns the software code, not the uses that we feel are fair and just (like watching videos, listening to music, etc.). Piracy is wrong, but having access to additional functionality is not against the law.

People need to get their heads out of their @#$%'s and let people live the way they want.

I don't know about all the cards out there, but the R4i's are perfectly fine and do not even affect the code or firmware on the DSi itself. All it does is load the card into the cartridge slot and runs the software off that. This does not even interact with the firmware.

But, we do own the machine and can do whatever we want with it. That line of thinking is ridiculous...it's like saying I bought a car, but I can't modify it. Ford and Chevy don't force you to update their in car computers because you might had modded it to get better performance out of it. I bought the DSi with my hard earned money, and if I want to expand the functionality of it by buying add on parts I should be able to do it. I have never intended to use it for piracy, but there are some things that are possible to do on the DSi which are not piracy but are blocked by the poor software Nintendo has designed for it. If there are people out there who are smart enough and talented enough to expand this functionality, why not let them do it (and allow those of us willing to take the risk to take full advantage of the equipment's potential).

Why can't I watch a copy of a movie I own on my DSi when I am traveling (or when my son has to take a long drive with me...be able to listen to music that is not in the format Nintendo decides is the only format that is allowable)? Why can't I play an .mp3 on it? That is just stupid that I have to convert everything to AAC because Nintendo tells me I have to do that.

The argument holds no water...and if you are a lawyer, then that tells me all I need to know. I don't care what a court has determined is okay for me to do...which is not copyright infringement and affects and/or hurts no one in any way.

The stupidity abounds and those of you out there who just toe the line and a bunch of ridiculous lemmings. So run towards the cliff with the rest of the herd and never question whether it is right or wrong...just because Nintendo says so (oh, they designed it...but we all bought it, and they would be no where without their customer base)...or because some judge somewhere (who doesn't understand anything about technology and has never used a DSi) has determined that it is wrong to have a card that expands the system functionality...I don't give two #$%^'s about them or their ignorant opinion.

Now i have to go buy another card...because of a "required update" which did nothing but infringe on my liberties...to do what I want, when I want, with the products I own. I didn't lease the use of it from the manufacturer. They don't even warranty the damned thing beyond a few months, so why should I give a damn about their policies. All I wanted to do was add my Club Nintendo account to my DSi...and now I can't even play an .mp3 on my own property. How is that okay...or right...and did I even have enough details to make an informed decision...whether I wanted to apply this worthless update?! No!

You feel or think differently. I would like to hear why...give me a cogent and intelligent reason why this is okay. Even Microsoft isn't this invasive into what I do with my computer and my Windows software.
