DSI Action Replay Code Manager Problem using vista (Need Help BADLY!!)

Also I have questions for anyone here that can help!

So Today I bought a DSI Action Replay, and I tried to install it, and so I open up the code manager, and I insert the action replay with the USB (not connected to the DS of course) and it stalls on the fact that I need the AR card, and I continue to do so and it wont let me load my AR, since some of these codes on here just seem too time consuming for me to add manually. I looked on youtube for help, it did not. I looked on forums and it didn't help much.

I tried the properties trick but it dosnt see the DSI hardware, and when I tried to update the driver in my E drive it says its all up to date?????/

You don't need to reply to this but I just took a shot asking, and much thanks to who ever can help me out.

i'd be able to help you but you might come to another problem like me - where your firmware can't update. some people say you need to buy a new one, but you just don't know if you're buying an AR with an old firmware on it because I bought mine in March 2010 and it was last updated July 2009. In other words? I'm screwed. And so are others, possibly.


The reason why you can't seem to update your driver is because it was Datel's fault for not letting it automatically install. It takes longer than five minutes and its confusing and frustrating if you have no idea what you are doing.

I'm trying to help my 9 year old son get his AR to work. My laptop doesn't recognize the disk so I downloaded the AR Code Mgr software (plus drivers) from codejunkies.com but the drivers don't seem to work or aren't found/recognized when the device is trying to install drivers. Help.

Has anyone had problems with getting the error message "Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)"? This is the message I get every time I try to update the driver for my AR card. I knew how to update the driver myself but I went to codejunkies and followed their instructions under their help topic "why won't the card show up in the code manager?" (or whatever it's titled) just in case I might have missed something or done something wrong and it still gave me the same error. It won't load in the code manager program and I really want to use it.

Sorry for the double post guys. It wouldn't let me edit my original one. Just wanted to say that if anyone else is experiencing the same problem I had you should try downloading the code manager software from the codejunkies site. Mine finally installed when I told the device manager to look for driver files in the place I downloaded it to instead of the actual AR disc. For some reason my AR disc was missing a bunch of the stuff that was in the one I downloaded. Anyways, the software is FINALLY reading my card.

how exactly did you fix it? mine sais its up to date but it also sais error #39

i heard that when you reset it it would work, i wouldnt try it though...
