I think that's SEGA attempting to cultivate hype. Whether or not it is worth it or the hype has already been fostered is beyond me. It could be a game purely undeserving of our attention, but with good marketing a la Halo.
Yet, from what I have seen, I am still optimistic. And this is coming from a seasoned video game pessimist. What remains to be proven to me is whether or not the plot is as ensorcelling and well-written as I would like. I'm curious as to the nature of Masato Kato's work in the games he has worked on -- the depth of his involvement. Also, in the hope that we are gifted with a NTSC release and considering what seems to be an importance of voice acting in this game, I am still wary of how the paradigm will work with English voice actors. We all know how mercurial they turn out. | |

Yes, it's not really a series. But the anime seems to be used to generate hype in Japan.

Alright, I'm going to have to ask that something like this won't happen again. For those who missed it, there was a bunch of people arguing about whether JRPGs are good or not. Take it somewhere else, this thread is for discussion of the game, not whether that genre is good.
