re: Homebrew Guide

My mate has this GBA slot game that has about 90 NES/SNES games and 30 fake games, is it illegal?

what do you think?
he has games that you normally have to pay for, and he didn't pay for them.

(yes, it's illegal.)

Barely. The copyright on NES and SNES is *bleep* old, and they aren't even sold anywhere except eBay.

still, it is illegal.
there's no way in hell you would get in trouble for it, but it is on the wrong side of the law.

re: Homebrew Guide

Alright, guys, please stop talking about ROMs before we get into trouble, I'd like to stay away from them.

By the way, a new how to homebrew DS guide is in the works, and should be done before too long.

Have you already seen it? Zephyr wrote it. It's not stickied, he's going to talk to Tainted about having him post the links and stuff in the first post in there.

That's a good question.

For one I don't have the money to afford a graphing calculator (running a TI-82+ motherboard); so I use graphDS {v0.8} as my alternative. Which comes in handy and prevents me from wasting a good 200 bucks on a calculator =/

Other than that there's quite a few application and games out there to try and play. I'm pretty fond of Sands of Time, a homebrew port of an addictive PC simulation. Then if you want to actually start developing homebrew games and apps there are a few devKITs out there ready made for potential DS developers. Then I guess what you do is up to you =P

DSLinux. Buy a GOOD slot-2 SD flash cart with extra RAM. Don't buy the M3 Simply slot-1 or R4 shit. That stuff sucks. And it's what everybody on this forum except me uses.

I use R4 and I'm fine with it =P

But I got it as a birthday present (from Hong Kong).

re: Homebrew Guide

for R4 users, have you ever inserted the cartridge into your DS and it's not recognised it?

because, it happened to me and i just blew into the DS and it started working, now it won't work at all ;__;
