Some people have posted that PM has said the Sandgoose and singing sword are hidden in the game.

Other people have posted saying that there's an official notice at the Big Blue Box forum saying the Singing Sword and the Sandgoose have definately been taken out of the game.

I'm unable to get on to the Big Blue Box website to varify this because their servers seem to be powered by glacier.

The first step towards finding any extra content is to clarify if there really is anything to find...

...so who's right and how do we know that they're right?

Is everybody that's saying there is a sandgoose just saying it because they've heard other people saying it?

Is everybody that's saying there isn't a sandgoose just saying it because they've heard other people saying it?

Where did this information come from?

sorry fifteen theres no real way to prove any thing other than what pm has said on g4 tv wich wasnt much and even then he has been increably wrong before according to people in his own development team have stated and i quote( we found our selves looking down trying not to laughf as he told people features wich we had previously removed were still in the game ) so obviously he didnt stay in touch with his own team so what he said on g4 could be the same as the sand goose wich he said was still in just as he did with the singing sword i dont know they didnt refer to any perticular case or feature/quest so eitherway we may never know till he tells us but ill head to his websit and read any new posts there and repost any relivant info

I've spent the last two hours surfing the net to try and find the answer to the above question i.e. "What do we know as fact (Regarding possible extra content)?" and this is what I've come up with.

The only official mention of the Sandgoose that I could find is the following (at www.lhtimes.com/fablefaq.html ):

Whatever it may be, it's defitnitely in the game...

In Electronic Gaming Monthly (EGM), they have a special interview with Peter Molyneux, taken after Fable's release:

The Sandgoose is in the game... The man cheating on his wife calls his mistress "my little sandgoose". So there's your sandgoose.

As for the rest of it, Hero Competition was taken out which is why those three undoable quests appear when you have to take the Wasp Quest. They just never cleared them out. Also, there is no associated quest with it so even if there were a way to unlock the quests there is no associated quest coded into the game that you could do.

The infamous "Better Bard" quests... which is where the Singing Sword comes from... was taken out of the game. On the BBB site, after that Better Bard rhyme fiasco that set people off, They admitted that the Better Bard was taken out of the game and the only thing left that alludes to it is when the Bards sing "You need to find a better bard". So if the better bard was taken out that means there is no way to get the singing sword if it were accidentally left in the game (which i'm certain it isn't).

Easiest way to prove all of this stuff is there or gone is to find someone with an Xbox thats been modded already and look at it for yourself.

I dont understand how PM could compare the frying pan to the sandgoose because the frying pan is incredibly easy to get compared to the supposed sandgoose which NO ONE has any idea how to find. I would say PM fvcked up again and gave false information. If there was a sandgoose i bet they cut it out because if PM is saying the sandgoose is compareable to the frying pan hes very wrong

I don't think it's really worth worrying about unless there's an official confirmation from LHS or BBB...

...If there really is something left to find in the game (which I seriously doubt) any such confirmation would probably be made a short time before Lionhead Studios' next big release, so as to generate hype.

Huh, this is actually kind of funny, come to think of it...

If any of you remember when I first came to this forum, then you might remember me posting in the first Secret Quest thread my theory that PM was misinformed... looks like some ppl are agreeing with me now >_<

The idea that PM was misinformed and unknowingly gave misinformtion about the content of the game is a pretty popular belief on most of the forums, but there's no officially recorded info. to varify that he made any statements as to the content of the game other than those he made during the G4TV interview (or at least none that I've been able to find).
