I just added several articles/edits/pictures to the Zelda Wiki, and each time, after I submitted them, it just takes forever to load, like 5+ minutes. I have fast internet, so I don't think it's a problem on my side. Are the servers slow or something?

I have FireFox 3 by the way.

I have also experienced this in the Dothack Wiki yesterday. Before not a single image i submitted got through, i was submitting it via URL, but after a few hours had past i was able to submit them, but it was taking like 5 minutes to get through, so i kept hitting the submit button until it finally went through! (it went through 5 seconds later after going ballestik). I dont seem to be encountering this issue anymore though, but it might happen again though. And my computer is not slow in the least.

Browser: Internet Explorer 7.

If anyone notices this again, could you please go to Start -> Run -> cmd on Windows and copy and paste the output of tracert www.neoseeker.com (traceroute www.neoseeker.com for *nix)? This could be a problem with the way you're being taken to the wikis rather than a problem with the wikis themselves.

It's still happening to me. Also, where do I get to "run" on Vista? It's not under the start menu like the other operating systems.

It looks like a problem with the way you're being routed. Two of the requests when connecting to the site timed out, thus slowing down the loading of the site because of how long it takes for the request to reach Neoseeker's data center. Unfortunately, there's nothing that can be done unless the connection were to time out at Neoseeker.

So the only way I could fix this is by moving or changing ISPs? Why does every other function on Neoseeker load quickly for me? It's rarely more than 5 seconds everywhere else. And why does it still take so long when submitting an image via URL? I'm very confused.

It might not be solely internet related. I'd like to know if more people are experiencing this specific issue.

Also, it happens when previewing pages and occasionally when browsing pages, although sometimes it works normally when submitting and stuff. And sometimes, after I submit something and it is finally done loading, a blank page appears and what I submitted disappears (I already lost a new article to that). I don't see how this would be a problem on my side, as all of Neoseeker's other sites and features load in seconds.

Nothing slow on my end. I'm using Opera 9.7, btw.

Gradually it has been happening less and less, and now it seems to have gone away completely. Have you done anything to remedy this problem, or did it fix itself?
