Lol so hamsterman thanks alot. this is the first spriting tutorial i ever used. it got me a good start but i've moved on to custom spriting JUS[JumpUltimateStars]-style sprites and such. This is one of my first 100% custom sprites.

I'm not good at facial features so i decided to add any on yet.

Agreed, although there's not much room for shading as the sprite is so small (Thin).

Okay of late I've been trying to help someone with a sprite and keep failing. So I've decided to go back to basics and dig up this tutorial and I have to say Hammy that this tutorial is incredibly helpful. When I'm at pro I'll finally be able to fix that sprite I was meant to. Sorry to whomever wanted Tori on the horse because I'm still struggling with it.

Anyway this is what I've got from your tutorial so far. I made it last night.


Edit: This is the first ever sprite I've made from scratch so if you'd like to comment that would be sweet.



I'm using a simple thing called paint. I'm not too sure how to do the whole zoom-in thing for you all.

The principle is the same no matter what kind of template you're spriting on. It's just a matter of applying some basic knowledge to the different motions of the template (IE. Clothes aren't rigid when the arm is moving, etc.).
