	Yeah, the parallelism is intended by Kishi. There's a scene sometime where they have the two pictures of Minato's team and Kakashi's team side by side. Basically they're archetypes of animes. Naruto/Jiraiya/Obito representing the hot-headed idiot that surpasses obstacles through their determination and guts, Sasuke/Orochimaru/Kakashi the naturally talented genius that gets outshined by the hot-headed idiot in some way, and Sakura/Tsunade/Rin the supporting female character. -------------------

Well anyway, you could throw Yahiko, Nagato, and Konan in there, save for a few discrepancies in personality. Yahiko, headstrong but an airhead at times. Konan, kindhearted also. Nagato, reserved but very talented. For that matter, this is the general trend among most characters in this show. Guy's team is another example, except Lee has a crush on someone outside the team.

Cool and calm personality accompanied by the moniker of "genius" i remember kakashi explaining the concept to someone in the anime it's the hardworkers vs the natural geniuses it's true those are their qualities but that's not really relevant to the current story line maybe in the past during the sannin battle arc

	When was that ever implied? I had a feeling last week that maybe Kakashi killed her because the mission was more important, but it was dismissed because of the ominous eye shots of Madara before Obito leaves. Kakashi learned to value the lives of his comrades when Obito supposedly died during Kakashi Gaiden. He wouldn't off one of his own, especially Rin; the one person who he had made a promise to protect. Spoiler:Reason Due to the circumstances of above, I took this panel as a vague implication that Rin was one of them. Either that or the Rin herself was the one who told Kakashi to do so. Although, there are still many things in the dark, as to why is it only the two of them infiltrating the hidden mist? or with the uncanny timing of it all, did Madara play a role in this killing? Hopefully whatever it is is confirmed next chapter. DuncanIdaho: I've no clue what you're referring to either. 603 was purely flashbacks from their team days and 604, Rin is only shown in one page at the end. -------------------

	Flex, it depends on the translation; To me, the bigger question is why were the Bloody Mist after Rin so badly? I doubt she had information which could turn the tides of war so I'd guess she had some form of importance akin to royalty or perhaps a valuable bloodline limit. I don't know, I just can't see her being a spy. Whatever the case, it seems to be on Rin's behalf. Judging from the Bloody Mist's dialogue, Kakashi seems to be in control and aware of his actions, not under some form of genjutsu etc. Also I just have to say, seeing Obito going on a rampage was awesome. -------------------

	Ahh, that makes sense. Thanks Mirage and zanderman And well, for whatever reason she's wanted by the mist, provided ample reason for Kakashi to break his promise so nothing is out of the question.
