I have a theory.see,Uchiha Madara Can't possibly be alive after hundreds of years..right?Wrong.
see,there is one way Madara could've stayed alive, Orochimaru's Body Switch way of course.see,with body switching,Madara stays alive and nobody knows its him.

also explains (More Spilers) Manga Chapter 385,where Itachi says that Madara IS alive,and that Madara helped Itachi kill the Clan.I think Madara Wanted to see how strong Itachi was,to see if Itachis body was good enough,especialy since Itachi has the Mangekyou Sharingan.I also think Obito was rescued by Madara,Madara switched Bodies with Obito,and after destroying the clan,Madara Tried to switch Bodies with Itachi.But Itachi had Mangekyou then,so Madara,oh even Great Madara failed switching bodies,but still got Itachi in Akatsuki.Madara now Orders Pain around,so Im guessing Pain is just a puppet of Madara's.Madara is the real leader.Madara also said that getting all Tailed beasts will give Madara's Sharingan full power again(since obito's Sharingan is weak.)Getting the Tailed Beasts,to Madara,only the Nine tails is important,because Madara,stated by Jiraiya himself,summoned the Nine tailed AND Controlled it with the All powerful Sharingan of Madara!

As far as Obito is concerned though... it does make a lot of sense. Think of how Itachi referred to Madara as 'crippled' and a 'broken shell' of his former self. This implies something big happened between Shodai beating him and founding akatsuki. My guess is something to do with Obito.

I meant it like this: Orochimaru needed to switch bodies so badly he did it before Sasuke got there.The same thing happened after three years:Orochimaru,after three years,needed to switch bodies so badly,he tried it on Sasuke,even though he failed.And Orochimaru was about to die before he tried Body-Switching with Sasuke,thats what I meant About Madara Seriously needing to Body-switch.

thats also what I based my Theory off too.

thats also a possibility.But I think its Unlikely.If so,there would be a whole lot more Immortal Uchihas.Since Itachi STATED that the Uchihas knew about getting the eyes from the brother thing.
