What was your pokemon fail?

Having a team of 2 pokemon the whole game and getting my ass kicked at Pokemon League.

Thinking Bulbasaur would be a good choice when starting LeafGreen.

Mine would probably be using only my starter the whole game, then getting killed by one of the gym leaders my starter had a weakness to (8th gym in Pokémon Ruby).

Nah, He gets his ass kicked a Blaine and Koga although he trolls the first 3 gyms.

The first team I used to beat the Pokemon League--and the rest of the game-- was
a level 100 Charizard (Who basically did all the work), a level 13 Meowth (Who had no use what so ever except for the fact I taught it dig), and a level 40-something Lapras who I just used for surfing. That was the good ol' days on Firered. But if I hadn't made Charizard do all the work I'd have completed the poke-league faster.

And when a pokemon was poisoned, I thought my game was messed up. And only then till it fainted, I realised it was part of the game.

Oh some of my early ones... Thinking Hitmonlee evolved into Hitmonchan. Not realizing what stats actually do... A more recent fail was a fight online against some stranger. It was down to our last Pokemon, my Blaziken vs their Froslass. Not only did I have the type advantage, Blaziken was also faster and could easily OHKO the Froslass. Unfortunately I forgot that Froslass is part ghost, used Sky Uppercut instead of whatever fire move I had at the time, and lost the match.

Some one can't play the game right, it seems.

Oh, I played the game right, grabbed a Water type and a Fire type later in the game and dumped Bulba in the PC.

I was also one of those people that never really cared about stats. Still don't really, but I do check them every now and then. :3
