	Log in to remove this advertisement I'm curious to know which part of the fandom initially pulled everyone in and which part they're most active in now. :3 My love of Pokemon started in the original Pokemon boom but it was the Anime and cards that pulled me in before I even realised there was games. x3 Mainly because when the main wave hit where I'm from most of us didn't have Game Boys unless we were quite rich because we were rather young. But now my main interest is the games. :3 I didn't get the game till a bit later when an Uncle "got too old" and gifted me his Game Boy and Blue. I like the other parts but not as much. 	I can't actually remember if it was the anime or games first. Pokemon Yellow was my first game and I watched the whole original series from the begining so I'm thinking it was probably the anime. Now it's just the games. I stuck with the anime until around the end of the Johto saga. I've caught a few episodes from the Hoenn and Sinnoh series but more out of curiosity than anything. I do have a bunch of cards around somewhere, but I never seriously got into that. I got them off Ebay for the novelty value. I also have a bunch of toys around too I got when the Pokemon boom was a really huge deal. Too many to list but things like a Butterfree small plushie, 15 mini figures, 4 larger action figures, a large Poliwhirl plushie, a Pikachu keyring, 2 toys with voice clips and so on and so forth. All of them from Gen I except for a couple of Togepi toys (which, technically, I got before Gen II actually appeared since they're all pretty much based off the pokemon that appeared in the anime). ------------------- Fire Emblem Awakening - You Want It.

	Everyone suddenly playing Red and Blue in the school playground. Everyone who didn't have it huddling around those who did, especially watching the link cable battles. Good times. The cards and anime took over soon after too, along with all the other merchandise, but the games were always the heart of it for me, and still are. -------------------

	I started with silver (original) cause my awesome uncle gave his gameboy color and silver when I was little (probally 3)

	Pretty sure the show came on a few weeks before the game. But the cards and show was when I first got into it, then Red and Blue came out and I jizzed myself. -------------------

	The cards back in third grade was what initially pulled me in. Then I started liking the show, and then finally the video games. Nowadays I only play a Pokemon game here and there for fun with friends. Don't even bother with the show or cards anymore, haven't for many years. ------------------- We don't know who we are until we see what we can do.

	Well back when I was 6, I had gotten a dark blue Gameboy Advance SP for my birthday, but I didn't get any games along with it. Soooo after begging my parents, they brought me to Toys R Us, and I found the GBA section. That was when I first saw Pokemon Ruby. I didn't really know what it was, even though I had seen the anime from time to time, because I wasn't familiar with anything other than Pikachu. I picked it out, though, because I thought Groudon was the coolest thing ever from the front of the box. When I got home, I popped it into my GBA and started playing it, and BAM! I was in love. 	Pretty sure I started to like Pokemon because of my older brother's. I used to watch the anime and have all these Pokemon toys, then for a few years I just forgot about it. 	It was probably more the anime that pulled me in, since I watched a lot of the first season, though the fact that my brother played it as well probably pulled me in too. And probably cause we had Trading Cards too, but yeah. Nowadays I still play the games, and I occasionally watch the anime. ------------------- quote alahna777 Soap is my fetish

	I don't really remember how old I was, but it was definitely Gen1 because my brothers were into the whole thing before me. I got into it because of them. I pretty much liked whatever they liked(Though that annoyed them to no end), so I liked the anime, games, and cards with them. And I STILL love it while they've moved on. 	My first glimpse of Pokemon ever was a Psyduck card that my aunt got from Burger King and gave to me. ;_; But yeah, that obviously wasn't what pulled me in. I honestly don't remember what it was exactly that I started first, the anime or the games. I remember watching the anime a lot as a kid, as well as playing Yellow and Gold. So really, I don't know. I didn't have any older siblings or anything (or younger ones, for that matter :x ) to get me interested, so I guess I found it on my own somehow. And I think my cousin gave me a guidebook to Yellow, which I'm gonna guess really got me hooked. It also put the idea in my head that I needed a guidebook for every subsequent Pokemon game I got. :3 Now, I'm pretty much strictly games. D: Sometimes I may be flipping channels and catch a Pokemon episode on Boomerang or something (sometimes which Team Hydro Aura tells me about xD), but that's about it. And talking about it on Neo, if that counts. :3

	I guess it was my brothers that brought me in. My curiosity grew from there, buying games and cards (which I soon grew out of), and just generally being a big fan of the games, lol. I like to see the animé when I can, but it won't always watch it. I'm mostly a game person. x3 -------------------
