Hardest Gym Leader?

Haven't seen any threads like this, so I'm going to try it out.


What was everyone's HARDEST gym leader to fight. Of course this doesn't apply to people who use Action Replays for obvious reasons.


For me, the hardest was Clair. She's just... my god. Her pokemon only have 2 weaknesses, except for Gyarados which only has one really easy weakness.

On top of that, she has high-levelled pokemon. I swear, the Gen.2 and remade Gen.4 Saga of G/S/C was so unforgiving. :l




Anyways, that's it for my story. What about you guys?

Uhm probably...Iris in White. I couldn't beat her the first time around but when i got a Cubchoo/Beartic it was easy. so i guess nobody

Pretty sure I failed more times against Lenora than any other Gym Leader. Was really annoying to be honest.

I always had a lot trouble with Winona in R/S/E. Dang Altaria...
Also Clair and Brock in Yellow...

The hardest for me was Fantina in Platinum. I was so under levelled that she pwned every one of my team members easily

By far Claire in GSC, even if you are kind of even with her team, that Kingdra could sweep you like a dirty floor. I'd also say at times, Winona is a bit annoying, and while on RSE, Tate & Liza are irritating (specifically the Xatu/Claydol duo).

I haven't played the old games in a while, but Brock was probably one of the hardest for me. In FireRed he was pretty easy since Charmeleon could learn Metal Claw.

I'm surprised Whitney hasn't been mentioned so far. Miltank was a birch.

And surprisingly for me, the dragon gym leaders aren't too tough. They're just tedious because I never have anything that's supereffective.

Clair, too, has definitely got to be my hardest. Her Kingdra's Hydro Pump always gets me.

Up until my current playthrough that is. OHKO'd all her Pokemon with my Lapras and Ampharos.
