Wingull VS Ducklett. Ducklett the battle commence...

In terms of abilities: Wingull < Ducklett.
Ducklett has better and a larger variety of abilities. Since Ducklett can learn Aqua Ring, it has no need for Rain Dish (even though the 1/8th HP gain at the end of each turn would be very righteous). They both have Keen Eye so it's a toss up. Ducklett also has immunity to all defense-lowering moves.

In terms of base stats: Wingull < Ducklett.
Even though it's faster and would Shock Wave the math out of Ducklett, Wingull's defenses leave it open for more attacks if Ducklett gets a chance to retaliate. All Ducklett has to do is Return or HP [Elec] it until it's funeral.

In terms of move pool: Wingull > Ducklett.
Come on! Ducklett only learns water and flying moves by leveling up. It's move pool is very wack. Plus, I love the idea of an Air Slashin', Shock Wavin', Agile Wingull.

In terms of evolution: Wingull > Ducklett.
Not only does it evolve quicker, Wingull--well, actually Pelipper--gains the ability to Soak its opponent! That combined with Agility and Shock Wave or HP [Elec] is sure to leave a huge dent in anything. I do think that Swanna looks better though.

In terms of appearance: Wingull < Ducklett.
Really, I chose this part because of the shiny forms because neither regular form appeals to me at all. The shiny Ducklett is very cute!

VERDICT: Ducklett is the better Pokemon... but only by a hair.

I'm favorable to Swalot. I mean, my god that name is just one of the cutest ever, as well as being just a cute Pokemon. I also feel like Muk is a bit of a, monster for being a pile of sludge. Kinda always has scared the bejesus out of me. >:

Muk VS Swalot. I think I have to do a Swalot of thinking on this one...

In terms of abilities: Muk > Swalot.
Both Liquid Ooze and Stench are very unlikely to take affect during a battle: in competitive battling LO will only be an inconvience because not many people use absorbing moves, and due to Muk's terrible speed Stench will probably never come about without the aid of a Quick Claw. Muk's DreamWorld Ability holds more use than Swalot's.

In terms of base stats: Muk > Swalot.
Honestly, I think that it goes without saying that, while Swalot could potentially leave a small dent in other Pokemon, if faced with a Muk it could do nothing, unless it can Earthquake Muk to death or utilize Yawn and DreamEater.

In terms of move pool: Muk < Swalot.
While Muk has a wider variety of ten types to attack from, Swalot hits harder. Assuming that Muk and Swalot are going head-to-head Muk's most supereffective attack would be Dig, which would really be a suicide mission because of Swalot's Earthquake. If Muk lived through the Earthquake, it would have to deal with Swalot's Yawn and DreamEater.

In terms of preevolution: Muk > Swalot.
I love Grimer more so that I do Gulpin. I never understood what Gulpin was supposed to be. It looks like a reject toy from Hasbro. I honestly, prefer Grimer with its superior stats.

In terms of appearance: Muk < Swalot.
While I do love Muk's slimy and grotesque appearance, Swalot's cute argyle design and stubby hands are very cute to me. While it doesn't seem as friendly as Muk does in anime, it makes up with a cute *** mustache! Also, Swalot's shiny form is the cutest thing ever! :3

VERDICT: Muk wins my vote even though I would rather train a Swalot.
