Spriters often just copy and paste parts together without editing at all, which makes their sprite look unnatural. Unfortunately, the tops of the legs don't look connected at all. Your sprites are basically just recolours of ... that other overworld sprite, with some glasses put on. Because of that, the hairstyle is completely different. There's a lot of black down there and it sorts of blends in with the black jacket, making the hair look, well, spiky, in places. I'm also confused about the light source... It seems to be coming from the front and the back. I looked at the official sprites, but they're no help to be honest. Just try to make it come from one side. The horns look just like blue outlines, with no depth. I would also recommend changing the colour on the horns, because they blend into the main body. It's a good idea to make stripes thicker than one pixel, and the stripes on the tail are very messy. The left icicle thing goes behind the black shoulder fur, and there's a stray pixel on the left. quote Hmszelda [B] The tail annoys me - the shading should get progressively darker, while yours jumps from the lightest to the darkest to the middle shade. The eyes are very simple and look unnatural. The dithering where the smoke meets the body doesn't work, either. I would have been very tempted to give this an A, if it weren't for its right arm! The lighter shade of coloured outline is on the wrong side, confusing the light source.
