First off, it's a nice sprite CJames21! I have a couple of that should be improved to make it better. The main thing that's bothering me is the blue shirt or whatever the blue thing is between the two arms. It looks out of place, you should remove it and join the left arm(my left) to the white shirt. The other thing that's bothering me is the pose. He looks like his bodies being twisted since the back is so curvy. You might want to make him face the viewer directly instead. I hope I helped, and that wasn't too long .

ElectricArcanine, thanks for the advice. Yeah, that's supposed to be his bag. I wasn't sure if it worked, and it looks like it doesn't.

Hmmm, my computer says you've only got 1 post, when you have at least 4....wierd. But whatever, welcome to Neo! And to the Pokespriting Neoforums(yes, I just coined that[I think{if I did, then it's now copyrighted}]). Also, about your "ElectricArcanine" I personally don't think it works, since it is just a recolor. It doesn't flash "Ohi, I'm an Electric type Pokemon!!!" to me. It just looks like a yellow Arcanine. But that is entirely up to her if it fits, since it is her username and account. Just giving my opinion.

I made a few sprite recolors a while ago, most of them palette swaps.
For the most part the sprites were chosen somewhat randomly.




(Hoothoot ended up looking terrible >_>)





This is an edit to make the character look similar to me

The only sprite I've ever done where I edited parts on from scratch. Made to resemble my character from an MMO I used to play.
I don't really feel I did a particularly good job on it since the parts I added on kind of stand out, but it was my first attempt at this and was good enough for what I used it for.

Not bad spikypichulover007. There isn't really that much you can do with Ekans besides design/color changes and the tail.
How's this retype?
