General Pokémon Sprite Showcase Thread

Welcome to the General Pokémon Sprite Showcase!

You might be wondering "what the heck is this place?" Well don't worry, we'll get there!

The sprite showcase is a new thread in General to replace the Sprite Thread in Diamond. Diamond has barely no life left, and to move it onto the next generation of games would mean next time we'd be in the same situation. So relocating here means it will never be outdated!

So what can you post here? Anything sprite related! Whether it's Pokemon recolours, reposes, fusions, scratch Pokémon, trainer cards, mugshots, overworlds, maps and anything else you can think of!

Here you can also show what you're going to be doing next in the world of spriting and how you can improve.

Here's some basic rules for you to follow.

1. No flaming please. This includes being disrespectful to other members.
2. No spamming. This includes one worded posts, excessive use of smilies and full capital letter posts.
3. No double posting. This is only acceptable if it's over 24 hours and this thread has dropped past the second page. If both of these critera are not met, do not double post.
4. Please only post constructive criticism. We don't want you to be too hard and just say everything needs changing, but be patient with people and point them in the right direction.
5. Do Not plagerise. This is absolutely forbidden, and if broken, you will recieve a 2 day ban from posting in this forum. Recently I've seen plagerism increase in the contests and hopefully this can help point people in the right direction. This also means you may NOT use anyone elses pieces of work unless they have agreed and you have also done work yourself.

Here are some of my new sprites that I would like C+C on. Here they are:

Eel Fakemon

Type: Water/Electric

These eel Fakemon are said to shock anyone that gets too close to them. They will attack without warning. Advise extreme caution when in water.

100% Scratch.



Harpet ~ Harp + N(et)

Harp Fakemon

Type: Water

Harpet play their harps to anyone that is near enough to hear it. Even though they live in water, you can hear their music clearly. Anyone that hears it gets drowsy and falls asleep.

98% Scratch.

I like it. I think I'll use that.

That sprite gallery hardly no-one actually knows about. And having it in General is surely the better option.

And I'm not going to dictate what people need to do across the whole site. If people want to make more spriting contests, it's fine by me.

I am making a return to spriting, and I would like some harsh C+CC on this, as well as an opinion on which colour scheme is best, and even some tips on how to improve it.

Why is there claws on it.
You did a pretty good job fusing the pokemon, but the head of latias just seems awkward on that tiny body.
The tip of the tail has a different light source on the white than on the red. It makes it appear like they are two different objects
Right before the color on the tail happens there is a random new shade that is extremely close to the other shades.
The head is attached to the body too low since the next appears to also be way up where the ears are.
The tail is two much lower than the body making it seem to float a bit.
It's okay to have it a little lower, but when it's that much lower it looks unnatural.

The ear on our right is all bendy
I don't really like the shape of the... ghost tail.
Most pokemon sprites have it all wavy and such.
The arm on our right is just a straight line.
There seems to be an indent on the arm to our left where the sholder is.
The teeth are exactly the same
