This is a quite good sprite. The shading and everything seems pretty well done. However it suffers from one big flaw- no colored outlines. The sprite could be greatly improved if there was something other than black for some of it. Other than that, it could probably go for another shade since it seems just a little flat at the moment.

Heh, interesting choice of picture to pixel-over. xD Anyway, on to the sprite itself. The main thing that holds you back here is the shading. There's a rather small amount of it, which makes it look pretty flat. This sprite also seems to lack any colored outline, which hurts it.

Wow, this is a great sprite. All the shading seems just right, and the outlines are all smooth and nice. Uhm... I don't really know what else to say about it aside from "good job".

This is pretty good, but a few things bother me. The main problem I'm seeing here is in the eyes. They seem really awkward and somewhat 2-D. The shading in them looks rather strange. Using complete black hurts it slightly as well. The shading on the right eye (our right) also doesn't seem to curve right. Aside from that, it could perhaps benefit from a bit of black outline, but that's pretty much it.

Oh wow, this looks really good. The shading and everything looks fine, though it does have some small flaws nevertheless. The main thing I'm noticing here is that the black things by it's ears (Aura sensors? I can't remember) look rather low, and therefore don't really look connected. Also, the area where the spike connects to the right (our right) hand seems to be a completely straight line, while the hand itself is slightly diagonal, which makes it look like it doesn't connect properly.

A lot of it is jagged, and doesn't seem to flow right, which, in some cases, makes it look unlike what it was originally. This seems to be more of a problem in the golden spike things on the side of his body, which don't really look much like the original spikes. The main other problem I see is the shading. While it is passable for the most part, there are some parts on the golden spikes that appears to be hatch shading, which you want to avoid on sprites, unless it's on fur.

Well, this most definitely wins the wow factor. Pretty much the only flaw I can see here is in the hair. It looks really awkward throughout it, and a lot of the strands just don't seem to work well. Though I'm really not sure if regular hair like that could be sprited well, so it's not going to hurt your grade too much.
