Levels too long, no checkpoints. |
|
As great as this game is, it is very frustrating having no checkpoints that you can save your game at. The levels take forever to complete and if you have to go out or let someone else have a turn its *bleep*ing annoying having to restart the level again later.

No checkpoints at all? Now that sucks. Even if it didn't have checkpoints, it should have a manual save feature like Half-Life 2. I guess it would feel good to go through the entire level in one hit, but it seems like it will be more of a chore to just get through each one, and unless those long levels are non-linear, then the repition and frustration will really begin to set in with getting stuck at a certain point on a level and constantly repeating it; yet never being able to surpass it.

I don't know what that guy is talking about but there are checkpoints it say "Checkpoint" in green at the bottom of the screen when you reach them. All i wish there was a map and to be able to skip those damn cut scences they don't help at all.

I know there's checkpoints, but i mean you cant save at any of them. The checkpoints are great if you have enough time on your hands to get through the level, but not if you have 15 minutes before you have to go somewhere or do something save mid-level.

Not being able to go back to a checkpoint once turning off the system is gay. It made me redo levels way too much.

I don't mind it. Yeah the levels are long, byt hey, who wants to play a game for 10 minutes anyway?

It's not like we want to play for only ten minutes at a time; some of us have other reasons for wanting to stop halfway through a level. Whether it's because we have homework and chores to do or because we have plans to meet up with friends, we shouldn't be punished for not having enough time to make it all the way through a level.
Most levels can easily be an hour long if you play through them slowly and stealthily. An hour is a long time, and I'd be pretty pissed if I had to abandon my Xbox forty-five minutes into a level. This really doesn't bother me enough to change my overall opinion on the game, which I think is great, but this is a minor inconvenience that we shouldn't have to deal with. They should either let us save the game at checkpoints within the level, or even better yet, let us save the game whenever we want, wherever we want. ------------------- Didn't I see you when you thought you'd never stand out?

I LOVE playing this game, great graphics, intense gameplay amazing sound ( i love the customizable soundtracks-nothing like listening to Tool or Godsmack while killing commies), but the one flaw, and to me this is a fatal flaw, why the hell does it make you jump soooo far back in the level when you die, even after hitting a checkpoint. Im on hard level, final gulag level, and its so frustrating to play for an hour, trying to get all objectives, then get killed and have to start so far back-it ruins the fun, and makes me either toss my controller or just shut the whole damn thing off. Criterion are you listening?? Add a save feature to future versions of this game or i (and im sure many others) will get our fps kicks elsewhere (cough, halflife, cough

Last level problem |
|
I got through all of the levels and did well during the last level. The problem is that when I kill the two RPG men, I can't get past the two bunker machine guns. They nail me every time I show my head. Then after a 1/2 hour of great play, I get killed and have to being the level again.
Please help me finish this level and game.

It took me about three months to finish the game at Normal Level. Now I'm playing the last mission at the Hard Level its my third month it may take another month or more to finish the game at this level. Perhaps Black Ops will take six months or more. It took me this long because there is no save option in this game.
It is funny how the bodies of soldiers, guns, grenades and first aid kids disappear once you leave them behind.
