re: hardest boss

Shinryu and Omega duh. When you're normal-leveled Shinryu will be even harder than Chaos.

re: hardest boss

Deathguise gave me more trouble than any of the other bosses. Throughout the entire battle I was basically struggling to keep each of my characters alive, with phoenix down and life spells, and I remember the only reason I ended up winning at the time was because he used a physical attack on my black mage while he was trying to revive me white mage, and the attack was guarded. I think at that point my heart might have stopped... but meh.

Omega and Shinryu. They're challenging at level 99...

re: hardest boss

I donīt know why people say Omega is so much harder.
Most of the time, he uses his psysical attacks and occasionally the Wave Cannon.
And as you all know, Blink/Invira is the key to victory against normal attacks.
And after a few, he will miss most of the time.

Now Shinryu, now thatīs a whole other matter.
His magic is strong and uses it most of the time.
And it hits all and unless you donīt have a White mage/Wizard on your party, you are going to have the hardest time.
If you donīt farm Megaelixir off course.

re: hardest boss

No White mage in my party, but I finally was able to beat Omega at Lvl 60. Thanks to all who posted suggestions, they helped alot!!

My party:

Knight (Thor)
Master (Mr Lee)
Red Wizard (Magnus)
Black Wizard (Drax)

Blink, Invisera, and Flare were the key. I used the item with Flare (Judgement Staff) to cast it with my Red wizard when I wasn't casting Curaga (which was most of the time).
I also used the Defender Sword to cast Blink, and the White Shirt to help cast Invisera faster.

It took me about 35-45 rounds. (Best guess, about 40 minutes). Keeping all 4 alive is def the key. I finally lost my Master. Don't bother trying to "fix" a dead guy... you need to recoup too many invisera/blink for it to work.

It took me 7 tries, 2 Elixers, 1 Mega-Elixers, 2 X-potions, and about 30 Hi-potions.

All that for a Murasame I can't use!!! (ninja only) =(

BTW, boosting damage output on the fighter classes was basically a waste. (I was originally using Saber/Haste/Strength Tonic, but that was only a marginal damage output at best compared to flare.)

It's the mages that win this battle.

And Omega has 32000 HP. Fun fun fun.

re: hardest boss

Actually, Omega has 35000 HP.

Also, I just beat Omega and Shinryu in 2 consecutive runs (1 Omega, 1 Shinryu) in a solo Black Mage-no class change challenge. I leveled my character up to level 99, and even at level 99, they were tough! Omega went down after about 75 rounds, while Shinryu took over 200 rounds! Shinryu is easily the hardest!

re: hardest boss

I dont think they were that hard I was levelled around 60 and I never trained just fought on the way down. I beat omega fair enough and currently on my way to beat shinryu after beating deathgaze...I beat shinryu on FFV but i guess it might not help too much
Omega isnt too hard with invisira (or 2 white robes) and protera. Shinryu's magic I plan to stack nulblaze and nulfrost (rather than nulall as its one person which is 4 spells where as you only need the 2) and of course just buff up my guys...im now lvl 70, should that be enough?

re: hardest boss

for final fantasy 1 Deathgaze was hard. Omega and Shinryu where still hard with a black wizard who casts haste and sabre who could hit hard it was still quite hard.
for final fantasy 2 Adamtoise butt that is because I'm doing every boss expect sergeant solo with maria the reason is because i needed critical hits to damage him.

If i recall correctly, Flare is non-elemental and hits your whole party for 500+, so you'll need a really good tactic. His melee hurts a lot as well, so if you cast protera (or protega, if it's in this game) you should be reasonably safe from it.

Flare was the only problem for me, but i'm sure you'll find a way
