energy meter make the game unplayable?

I've read a few reviews that say you have an energy meter, and when you use your shoulder cannon or other weapons it depletes the meter all the way. is this correct?

Yes that is true. Also you have to stop walking to actually jump as well.

re: energy meter make the game unplayable?

I read in another thread that one guy was upset that you can't go back to the first level (i assume he means the training level) after you've earned all the costumes and upgrades to hunt. Are you not able to?

I'm referring to this comment:

"The game has no replay value though...I got everything...all the different types of predators...all the weapon upgrades...all the skulls...everything...and I still can't go to the first level and use all the weapons...which blows majorly....I haven't completed the little time challenges yet...they bore me and have no interest in doing so unless I know for a fact that they do provide you the ablity to play with all the hard earned weapons that I aquired...."

re: energy meter make the game unplayable?

Sadly I hate to admit it but it be true. For example once you get the Disc one of the better weapons in the game you will only be using it to hunt for like 4 or so levels. That is if you find it. Then there is the problem with cloaking. As everybody knows a Predators cloaking can be canceled by water and there are a lot of stages where it is raining so you might as well not have it.

re: energy meter make the game unplayable?

I think this game may be a good candidate to use Action Replay with. Not to cheat, but to do a few things to make it more playable. like infinite energy, so you don't feel clipped at the b@lls with your plasma cannon. So is the training area like a huge open city or something?

re: energy meter make the game unplayable?

The Action Replay idea is a good one. I myself used a CodeBreacker to have infinite energy. But the training is a huge open area. The best place to hunt is on the I think the third or forth level. No rain and plenty of time to kill.

re: energy meter make the game unplayable?

But the training level isn't a level you can go back to with your upgrated predator?

You can go there you just will only have the weapons you started the game with.

re: energy meter make the game unplayable?

I hope for that day as well. But I heard that there was a new Predator game for the PSP but I don't know if it is any good. If you are looking for a Alien Versus Predator game try Extinction. Sure it a RTS but you can play as a Alen, a Predator, or a Marine and it is only 19.99. Its better then paying 29.99 for a used game.

re: energy meter make the game unplayable?

They can't make a good Predator game to save their lives can they? This just makes me sick to think one of the coolest monsters can't get a decent game out.. Hopely the new movie that is coming out will inspire a good one.

re: energy meter make the game unplayable?

actaully I liked this game. I lvoe to play this since I have everything. And I even help people who have this game to find up grades. I just wished they'd make his cloak better. Like the cloak in AVPR (for PSP). But other than that The game was ok. I just need more gore and blood. ^^
