i have FIFA 2002 game , which runs in my old computer (Celeron processor 700 Mhz ) no problem with that,

in my new System P4 - 2.8 HT , i cant run the game , the game gets started , when i select a new game like (Freindly or any mode ) , the game gets loaded , after its loaded fully it strucks with sound and gets out of the game.

Can you help me this , plzzz i like to play this game in my new computer.

I had the same problem as you and I was clueless as to why it was doing that, until I contacted EA Tech Support.

It seems Fifa 2002 will work great on any PC upto 2GHz, but not over it.. the reason why is because when EA made Fifa 2002, they never intended compatibility support for any cpu over 2GHz. plus I don't think there was any cpu's over 2GHz released in 2002.

I was told I'd have to upgrade to Fifa 2003 at minimum to run it on my 2.66GHz Celeron. I was informed by EA that it would not play because the cpu is too fast for the game.. as EAsy Info sees it as -2660MHz, instead of 2660MHz.. so you'll have to upgrade too if you are running a P4 2.8GHz.
