I found a blue thing on the beach, it was written that it was a letter from a mermaid. I replied, that i believed in it. Now what? Is it supposed to do something or was it just random? hlep!!!

I think in order for her to send the messages, you have to own the boat already yeah? She will send three notes (each a week apart) and you have to answer them correctly in order to get a prize. Once the next note arrives, select the "Be my friend" option. After you have answered the question in the second bottle, a third bottle will appear on the beach in which the mermaid expresses her desire to meet you, and gives you directions to her home.

Hope into your boat and select "No" when asked if you want to go to the Mainland. Answer yes when it asks if you'd like to go sailing. Go down one screen, and then follow the mermaid's directions. I'd tell you what they are but I really can't remember.

Anyway, once you get to the sea cave just walk up to the edge of the pond and press "A". The Mermaid will give you a Power Berry as thanks for you becoming her friend.
