Well, I am a big 3D game fun and GG might be the only 2D game I like. Yes, I do respect SF and SNK, but...... well, since on one will response this thread, what I am doing here all by myself?

I wouldn't say 2D is dying, thers way to many marvel and cvs2 heads out ther (arcade forum has always had plenty of activity in ther MVC thread or whatever one it is, but I would say GG is a dying art! I don't know why people refuse to play it? (I mean people that already play 2d fighting) it incorperates some of the best elements from a lot of different fighters, and no question its the nicest looking fighter! and IMO the best soundtrack.

the two things that got me hooked to gear was its brand new characters I've never seen before. and the flashy customizable combo system.

that could also be the same two things people hate about and refuse to play GG
1)that they don't see Ryu, akuma or wolverine in the raster or a character they recognize
2)that they just don't like combos? which some people are like that.
