Strengths: Huge MELEE dmge. Leadership skills are very effective. Double attack lets you use leadership and sword. Good armour. Naturally gains high spirit points towards the end of the game.
Weaknesses: No ranged or spirit attacks. All his armour is weak to blunt. Taunt foe gets canceled with Cleanse Shadow.
Strengths: ULTIMATE HEALER. Powerful spirit attack. Good armour.
Weaknesses: All sword attack but LEECH INSPIRATION are pathetic. Frenzy and loudwater fury slow her down alot. Low HP.
Strengths: A huge array of different effects and abilities. Fast. OK HP.
Weaknesses: Low damage later on in game. Poor armour.
Srengths: Shields are VERY GOOD. Axe craft does very good damage. Overwhelming Axes: While in Perfect Mode, Hadhods attacks will always cause critical hits.
Weaknesses: Poor DEX and SPD. Taunt foe removed by cleanse shadow.
Strenghts: Steal experience and steal skill. 6-hit attack. Fast. High dex. Overwhelming axes. Steal Item
Weaknesses: Poor HP and armour. Action point values are not amazing.
Srengths: Drain health and spirit. Battle mirror and scatter health. Last passive ability makes him immune to all spirit power attacks. Spear powefuls (Train with lightcraft and shadow craft for more devastating attack.)
Weaknesses: Spear moves are all very similar. Poor armour

Oct 24, 11 at 3:54am ^Best 3 person fighting team
Reasons: great leadership skills, good health and defense, amazing melee damage output and pretty good speed. can pretty much wipe out any normal enemy in 1 turn
Reasons: outstanding magic-based damage output and healing abilities, i gave her fell shadow elfstone and got it up to the burning wheel, her other elf stones are cracked, polished, and ancient spirit power. I pumped every stat point into spirit for her, I actually enjoy her having super low health because of her aura of valar she can go solo versus anything as long as she gets a turn in. I have her doing 57k damage all enemy (not including bosses) in pellanor fields using burning wheel and 37k on the ring wraiths
Reasons: I did a nonconventional build for hadhod, I trained him 2 points spirit 1 point constitution throughout the game, I use him as a backup magic dealer in case Idrial doesnt finish everyone off, I gave him the ancient elfstone of spirit power, health, action points, and armor. Fires of Ruin is his main attack versus everything except the eye of sauron.
Idrial is the master of disaster in my opinion, she is imbalanced how i play her. The moment she dies she comes back with a vengeance to kill the unfortunate being who touched her.
Most people go to lower regions like Eregion to skill farm, I did most of my skill farming in Pellanor Fields, on hard difficulty i play with the enemies there, kill off the ones with annoying skills, usually leaving something like a troll general which loses its stun from Berethor's Stand Fast. Hadhod's Mountain Shield is just about unbreakable due to how much spirit he has, as well as the ancient spirit power elfstone.

When I first started playing this god-like Rpg, I ALWAYS used Berethor, Elegost, and Hadhod. Morwen just doesn't have enough durability for my tastes, and neither did Eaoden. I just plainly didn't like Idrial. I eventually decided to start working her, gave her the ancient spirit elf-stone thing, and leveled her spirit powers. Same with Eaoden.
Long story short, with a bit of effort, those two quickly replaced Had and Elegost. Those two are friggin badass later on, and are my highest dmg dealers (Thanks to the Spirit stones). Hadhod had crappy spirit powers to begin with and it takes quite a bit of work to level his axecraft to the good stuff, like Rampage of Durin.Despite his insane tanking abilities and strength, I think Eaoden and Idrials spirit powers outdo him. I still think Morwen is too soft. I never use her. Really, she sucks. I got her to lvl 99 and she still sucks. Elegost is pretty good, actually. He's just not a preference any more, I guess.
Sorry for the long post!
Best three man team = Berethor, Idrial, and Eaoden.

Berethor, Best attacker in the game, and his resistance to fear later with his ability to rid the team of it is essential for the two Late Game Bosses, Witch King, and Sauron.
Said Weaknesses? None. When you get the Elfstone of Light, and Darkness he gains ranged attacks, while they are weak, if you need them they are there.
Indriel, Her water attacks and AP make her the strongest hands down one time attacker in the ENTIRE GAME, that mixed with her Passive help with healing make her a better healer then the rest. To say she is the only healer is false though as the Light Elfstone gives everyone this ability.
Said Weaknesses? Low HP and Armor is about it. It's true her Water Attacks slow her down, but the fact they do so much damage mean the slowdown is mot.
Hadhod, His defensive skills may take a lot of AP but they do help against the heavy bosses such as the Balrog and the Witch King.
Said Weaknesses? SLOWEST CHARACTER IN THE GAME. Most of his attacks slow him down. and take so much AP that he is only useful for long long battles until you get the Shadow Stone from the Balrog. , or the Light one from Grima, Can't remember which has the AP drain. <.< But after that he is Beast, and easily a match for Berethor, and more then due to how long he lasts.
Any character is good, but how you use them means everything. So let me give you the other three and the Weaknesses I list for them.
Elegost, Great due to slow balance skills and a fast character almost certain to gain the first attack in every battle. His plethora of effects with his arrows will help you through out the game.
Said Weaknesses? He is fast, but his Balance of skills isn't on par with Berethor, and while he can do long range, Indriel is just better all around in that aspect. His skills are useful but as you progress more and more things get immunities to them, not many but enough that using them can hurt a lot.
Morwen, Crafting is very useful, and her thief skills help level her quickly.
Said Weknesses? Sadly while she can hit 8 times with one attack, the ability for all of them to land and the lack of power means it isn't worth mentioning. Berethor and Eaoden both hit harder and more often with the attacks that only hit three times. Combine that with not so great armor and not so great weapons without doing Evil Mode means she doesn't really have much use without a lot of leveling and using the level points on attack which leaves her defensively terrible. Mind you Berethors leadership skill really offset all, and I mean all her weaknesses so they do make a good Couple. Her speed and her use in crafting make her a very good character. :3
Eaoden: .... <.< ..... Not much to say. Sadly you get him to late in the game for him to be of use, my only time using him was When you split the team in Minas Tirith. <.< His strengths are his power and skills, his weakness is his late arrival and Being Second in Attack (with help of Weapons) Is second to Berethor. Using him with Berethor is nice but like I said, the late game Skill farming is not for everyone.
That said. All of this is just my opinion and can be argued against.
You see, after going through the game so many times, I have just started to Skill Farm and Using Evil mode to help me early game. But I beat it over and over and over without any hassles because by guys will be 15 or more levels over what they should be before I get to the Other Side of Moria, and 20+ before I reach the Balrog. Even without the Elf Stones you get by beating all of Evil mode I win time and time again. <.< Beating this game is up to you, but My only true advise has been given already. Play how you want and don't expect playing against your ways to help. Just enjoy the game. :3
